Still in my opinion the best finish in this era of NASCAR. I'll never forget this one. And NASCAR should add more road courses. Don't get me wrong. I love ovals, but road courses are good too.
Quality competition on road courses is all but nonexistent, so a finish like this becomes more memorable than usual. This was something of an unexpected finish as well - the second straight Glen race where Busch gagged and Ambrose side-slammed past Keselowski.
For all the things lacking in modern NASCAR broadcasts, great call by Bestwick and really good direction for this finish. Marcos' onboard was perfectly used, especially that last shove off Turn 5 - love how you can hear him back off, then stab the throttle to bump into Kes.
Brock Beard I was in the frontstretch grandstands for this race and when I got home and watched the replay i couldn’t believe how well they broadcasted the last lap. Like you said, commentary and camera point of views were perfect. A little luck/skill by the whole ESPN team. So cool
@@SquidofBaconator The race ended around 2-4 if not mistaken and I understand its rush hour but I reccomend leavimg just around when they exit the last corner
Until today: Another Australian/New Zealand becomes the 2nd NASCAR Cup Series Driver since this guy Marcos Ambrose [2012], & now Shane Van Gisbergen [2021].
I still have no clue why did Nascar get rid of Alan Bestwick. One of the best commentators. I would trade him for Jeff Burton or Steve Letarte any time.
Now Ambrose trying to take 2nd from Keselowski while he tries to take the lead from Kyle! OH CONTACT IN THE ESES! Dangerous spot on the track for Kyle to be sideways looks like he goes off to the gaurdrail. No caution yet!
I'm here from a reddit link and a guy asked what a F1 fan think about this ending, well, it's a very nice ending, but it looks like a gokart race to me...slow af
Formula 1 is very fast but very boring. I guess you enjoy the leader winning 20 seconds ahead of second place and only about two teams winning all the time mainly.
if this is supposed to be great, you are not a true motorsport fans. its pathetic cheering for cars crashing on oil, loosing points that they well deserved through all the race. but why am I not surprised ? nascar is a lottery anyway. you drive through the race waiting who's gonna wreck you out of the race on purpose, pace car phases destroying your time advantage. and it's a bloody spec racing. not a true motorsport.
Allen Bestwick made one of the greatest calls in NASCAR history here.
Hes a fantastic commentator, one of the best
That call was epic. Made that moment watching at home more intense.

I also enjoy races on oval courses, but it's also refreshing to see a great road course every now and then. :)
Yeah, they need to put one into the chase. I mean they have Talladega, why not the Glen!

What about Ricky Craven vs Kurt Busch at Darlington?
I’m from the future. Guess what we got!

Still gives me chills. I was screaming like a crazy person that whole last lap.
I had to leave early and I missed seeing that wreck, which pissed me off. It happened right in front of where I was sitting!
@@SquidofBaconator why did you leave early?? If it wasnt delayed by rain or weather you dont leave early lol.
David Marmer Traffic is really bad if you watch to the finish

Im a Kyle Busch fan but MAN THIS NEVER GETS OLD. Always love to watch this action
3:32 This is probably my all-time favorite onboard clip on any sort of racecar ever. The sound of him redlining the hell out of the engine
this is the finish I’m going be rambling about when I’m old and demented at a nursing home
Until today: Another Australian/New Zealand becomes the 2nd NASCAR Cup Series Driver since this guy Marcos Ambrose [2012], & now Shane Van Gisbergen [2021].
That's real racing there boys! No restrictor plates, full horsepower! 😄👍🏻
I watched this race live, it was epic!! Best finish I’ve ever seen!
They should put Road America and Road Atlanta in the series.
Tom The Edgelord Image if NASCAR went to LeMans
Patrick Z it actually happened few times, I mean during the 24 hours race. just like at the 24 at Daytona. very interesting 🥃🤘🏻🎩🤘🏻🏁🇮🇲
@@patrickl7229 I'm worried about Cup car brakes at the end of the Mulsanne Straight
I’m from the future, you got one of your wishes granted.
I'm also from the future. Aaaaaaaaand they took it away 😕
Ladies and gentlemen the greatest finish in all of the 2010s era
Best finish in NASCAR history
Prove me wrong
2003 carolina dodge dealers 400 lol
1979, 1998, 2007 Daytona 500; 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400; 2014 All-Star Race; and of course 2012 Finger Lakes 355
@@SamnissArandeen holdup what?!?!? I was a McMurray fan and no way is his all star win is an all time race or finish.
Damn I wish I was a little older when I went to this race so I could remember it better!
Does anyone have an onboard for Keselowski? Gosh it looked like he turned so hard to save the car
3:59 keselowski has a problem. NO KIDDING
Best finish I ever seen with 2 of my favorite commentators
2 years in a row for Ambrose
I Want Marcos Ambrose back to NASCAR he is so damn good at road's
BOOM! A road course is now the 2018 playoffs/chase. Man, that last lap was pure racing porn. More please!
Is that True?
Yes on both accounts. It IS racing porn, and Nascar's top series will run the road course at Charlotte motor speedway during the playoffs in '18.
Brian Jones?? you're still alive? i thought you died
one of the best finishes ever!!
nascar, PLEASE ADD A ROAD COURSE TO THE CHASE!!
Road America
I'm an oval kind of guy but hell I support that
There is the Charlotte roval now
Too good Marcos Ambrose
Thanks for uploading this.
RUclips recommending me this before the 2021 race lol
First look in international history in the 2010s
watch aussie v8 series. very exciting, just new names to learn
Best sounding V8 engines in the world

Kordovaner Balint he worked for espn. Well ESPN no longer broadcasts nascar and he stayed with espn.
Thanks for the update. Still a shame tho, I miss his enthusiasm.
Dam when these were 950hp.. that sound
dammit, NASCAR should make more races at road course

KYLE BUSH JUST SPIN IN THE FINAL LAP
Incredible racing, horrible commentary, ESPN treated nascar like shit during these years, drove the sport into the dirt and has yet to recover.
2016 Sonoma was better

Renato Huber That's honestly what makes NASCAR road racing so fun is because the cars are not really designed for both rights and lefts (obviously).
It's been a year. Do you realize where you went wrong?

dr. Apexx so why are you here again? I love all Motorsports, mainly because of the differences a lot of them have.
Spec racing IS racing. Its all down to the driver and the setup.
