You might be half right. I don't think Raycom was around back then, but Eddie Einhorn, long before he helped buy the Chi. White Sox, had a syndication company called TVS [TV Sports, Inc.] during the early '70s, and used this "Winning" piece as his college basketball theme music.
This was well done. Loved the opening shot of him sitting in that beautiful Eagle-Offy, with Dave Grusin's music on cue. Thank you for sharing your work.
mustangjohhny Cool, I'll have to check Netflix since I can't find it on RUclips. (Yet?) The only racing I've ever gotten into is Formula One, but I just like good movies, period. I saw Le Mans on RUclips and I love it, even though I could never get so much as a remote interest in the World Endurance Championship.
mustangjohhny Sorry, I thought it went without saying that I've seen Grand Prix as I'm an F1 fan. (I saw it over 20 years before I even got into F1.) I also happen to own it on DVD. (It should go without saying I also have Rush on DVD, and I saw it twice in theaters.)
Paul Leonard Newman, the one and only!
Fabulous score. I remember buying the LP at 58 Dean Street n the 70s and almost playing it to death. Needs a CD release.

Dynamic, exciting and cool songs
Newman and Woodward - What a beautiful couple!

Need to be from Indianapolis to really appreciate this.
Kickass Grusin!
Love it!

And the first part of this is where Cleveland station WEWS Channel 5 got their theme for "Million Dollar Movie" as in the 1970's and into the '80's.
That's crazy! I remember that!!😂
There is just something about this theme...
Great tribute.... I've never seen the movie, is it worth the while?

GOFLuvr if you have never seen Grand Prix, check it out. Made in 1966, every boy in that era had dreams of driving F1 because of that film.
