I honestly had a really fun time with this game. I played at least an hour for each session if not more. I played only with touch controls and it felt fine. I was able to unlock most of the battle pass up through the dark chaos chao and bought almost all the characters available. I agree with you on all your criticisms but one I have is that the hard mode solo challenges felt a bit too hard and unfair. Otherwise the game is great for a beta and I hope it only gets better from here.
It looks like a fun time honestly for being a little mobile game, movement could definitely be a bit faster and i think we need a few more levels, but it seems quite polished already and at least they went hard on the OST for this mobile game

I didn't get to play through each session in full, but from the few hours that I managed to squeeze in, I honestly had a really fun time! There were a great variety of game modes, and although they were fairly generic, I felt that its simplicity is actually a perk imo. I liked the straightforwardness of the gameplay loop, and the chaotic nature of having 32+ players all in one lobby made for hilarious moments. For sure tho, like everyone else has been saying, I think the movement feels sluggish and needs refinement.
From the clips I've seen so far, it could feel a lot better, the movement needs to be a bit smoother. But other than that? It looks very fun! Hope it comes to consoles and PC!

Tweaking the base speed and acceleration fields would be SO easy, I hope they listen.

Sonic Rumble really is just Fall Guys but Sonic, tbh it’s pretty fun and they did a good job making the Fall Guys formula fit with the world of Sonic. I do agree with Mr Fadel on how the characters could be a little faster, I feel that’s the main issue I have that they are as slow as a fall guy when I’d like them to be a lil faster but besides that pretty ok.
If Rumble was slated for release in 2023, I think this beta would have been the final release. So glad they are taking the time to get large amounts of feedback like this, with how robust the beta is. Makes me hopeful for the QA of future mainline games, actually. I also had fun in the beta as well!
The cover art is sooo good, also love that each character has so many emotes/dances to choose from

I really feel like this needs to become a full game in order for it to gain true popularity and player retention; the amount of levels, themes and customization is really neat, but I can already see this game losing hype and attention quickly since it doesn't do too much to differentiate itself from fall guys. I feel like custom matches are going to be what this game would need to make itself shine, customizable settings like speed and momentum is exactly what rumble would need to keep fans coming back, and this game would be perfect for finally creating the Sonic Level Maker that somehow has never been a feature in sonic games. All that being said, great review and I fully support the content brother!
Those were my thoughts too! It’s a cute, fun game, but I feel like it won’t stay relevant for long.
Aside from movement being a bit off I loved my time with it. I feel like if they tune that up a bit it will be a lot of fun. I also wonder if it will ever get a port to other platforms. If it does thats gonna be massive.

Damn, this review was super comprehensive! The game looks like a ton of fun, though. I never played the OG Fall Guys, but I'm really excited to get my hands on this game eventually, ESPECIALLY if they port it to PC. I agree with Fadel though- just watching the characters move in their base speed on screen, the game really needs some kind of default speed boost. I'm excited to see what kind of character costumes there'll be; fingers crossed for a Chinese New Year Blaze costume (A man can dream lmao).

For the mobile game it's really fun to play I just hope they put more speed to it other than that it's just super fun and the soundtrack omg they goes so hard for this one man

I agree, the characters should be faster, fast enough that it feels very Sonic, but not so much that it takes away from the challenge aspect. I also wanted to see more Adventure stages (Emerald Coast, Speed Highway, City Escape, etc.) With those stages comes new music so I want that. Also, I wanted a full customization of the avatars (hair, arms, legs, eyes, shoes, etc.) so that people can accurately recreate their OC's in game for a more immersive experience.

I was surprised how quickly I was having fun playing the beta, pushing to get wins and rings for cosmetics was really enticing, especially when the skin choices are as good as they are so far. The game definitely can feel unfair and I'd like to see balance changes that reward skill a bit more, but the chaos and robberies are also part of the charm. I'd also like to see the movement improve a little bit.
I think the Silent Forest elimination game was fine personally, you get decent enough warning time for the grabbers and I feel like there are enough bushes to hide in, there's good push and pull in the minigame. I do agree with the pipes in the balls team minigame being obnoxious as hell though, I wish I brought that up in the survey

With a little more work done to it I guess Sonic Rumble will be Sonic Runners for this generation of Sonic Fans which really cool. I sadly nvr got a chance to play sonic runners but I know how beloved it was as a Sonic mobile and i hope Sonic Rumble becomes as beloved as Sonic runners

I remember really liking Fall Guys but hating the team challenges because my success would suddenly be tied to a bunch of other people's skills rather than my own. On the one hand, I'm sure Sonic Rumble has that. On the other hand, I get to play as Big. Hmm...
The fact Zavok is in this game but not Sage is absurd to me. Hope they add her in the future.

I haven't played it but from what I've seen, I want to see more stage representation from across the whole series. Give us some niche stages like Ice Paradise from Sonic Advance 2, Water Palace from Sonic Rush, Metal Harbour from Sonic Adventure 2, and mooooooooooore

Call me a guy the way I faaaaaaaaaaaaaaall... sup Fadel! The fact they chose the 3D Platform Battle Royale still amazes me haha, it fits like a ring! Nice to hear the game is solid fun... and yeah, hopefully they raise the speed a little because it feels they're running against the wind lmao! Waiting, no... crossing my fingers that there's a PC or Switch version on the way!

The game was HELLA fun. I could see myself grinding this like I did with Fall Guys. Tho to be honest, I wish the characters were a bit faster - it *is* sonic after all. for story reasons I understand why (because they’re all toys), but still.
