    How old was the other guy? Dat wuz way cool inspiring. I be 63 in 3mo. and live in ATL & hoping to start in September-I wuz an alchy an heroin addict for decades- I started BJJ for a few weeks in 96 with Jacare Calvalcanti when he first moved to Atlanta-Jesus! 34 yrs ago---It will be way fun now-it's never to late to be a kid again

      @@playthroughcinema prepared to get your ass beat lol, im a former athlete and 6 5 225 lbs so I have a adnvatage but it’s very rewarding, I’m starting to tap a lot of people

      @@vcforchrist6621 sounds good, me I'm only 5'8 but I'm built like a tank so I was gonna try judo instead (they say smaller ppl have an advantage over tall ppl with judo, something to do with center of gravity, not sure if it's true) but it's the opposite for bjj it seems. Then I thought I'll give bjj a try because it appeals more to me. Yeah you'd have quite an advantage being that tall think I read tall ppl can get triangle chokes a lot easier?

      Plenty of competitors want to hear from their coaches or partners from the sidelines. Especially inexperienced white belts who are getting a taste of competition. As far as random outside noise from others, it's a competition and there are many factors that aren't going to be completely in your control.
