    Gotta love Syleena! I appreciate when a celebrity gives an honest and candid interview. She told her perspective of things without insulting any of the other divas.

    I love slyleena to bits. She is smart and beautiful.The first time I saw her in her music videos, back in the early 2000's, She was one of the most beautiful African American woman i have ever seen. She is still beautiful though.

    I like Syleena. I actually wish that I would've paid more attention to her after she came out with Guess What. Angie's block of ice comment was spot on. R&B music is on life support. Nobody's checking for these women outside of the Internet. Their names might pop up in yo' memory bank leading you to check for their old music, but that's about it. All of them can sing, but what good does it do when nobody cares? They stay in the studio yet they never release anything. Reality tv is their best bet when it comes to staying relevant. I never get too deep into reality tv to where it makes me just hate somebody. I know it's all fake. I just go along with it, laugh at what's been shown and keep moving. I know these women are just trying to make a living. I wish everybody had my state of mind when it comes to these types of shows.

      ***** Chile please. Unless you've established yo' self from years ago and were able to maintain relevancy (R. Kelly & Mariah Carey), then good luck. You see it all the time. Whenever these people talk about bringing r&b back, it flies under the radar and nobody cares or they just don't release anything. SWV are the prime examples. They've done plenty of interviews doggin' the industry and haven't made a dent. That new lil' bullcrap from Jhene Aiko and them is considered r&b. Let's see what Kelly Price's new album does though.

      I think that's the point tho. Mainstream wise, R&B can't be revived because the game is all about politics, image, and lifestyle outside of the music. I will say, even tho it's not popular mainstream wise, it's still relevant. Because it's still being made, many great R&B albums were and still are being released. The issue is, the fans don't think to support it. Because it's not "cool" to do so. The fans are basically letting the music industry and the internet/social media dictate to them what's hot and what's not, what's good and what's not.

    I wish Keke would be picked up..Her new song "You" is everything. She has a gift unlike a lot of these new artist. But she needs to be more serious. She looks like she is hard to work with because of her attitude. Now I might be wrong, I can only go on what I see on TV. Now Syleena she need some back up to get ahead. Her and her sister-manager is not enough....she is good but ain't no one check for her just like LaCheleWallace said.....Being in the industry is more then a good voice, a pretty face, it's about everything and the backing...

    Wow I love Syleena she did a great job with this video and I can't wait to see more. It make since why she and the girl from Brownstone will never get along because everybody has their issues and some people don't see eye to eye so why be around someone that you can't stand. I'm still trying to understand about the situation with Faith Evans because don't get me wrong I love Faith but Idk whats really going on with her and the divas thing its just hmmmmmmm I point any fingers because I don't know what really happen but the only thing we can do is keep living and just be cautious about what is going on because if it gets to point we see more confusion when you are dealing with that person in business then yeah it maybe is Faith or maybe that person we just have pay attention.

    It's good that she said if you liked the music still buy it and don't focus on what you see, because based on what she's shown on the show recently I would never purchase any of her music! Good thing I'm mature enough to separate the artist from the music. I actually like some of the music she's coming out with now and I will support it. As a person she comes off as bitter, a bit of a troublemaker, completely filter-less, and ungrateful. What I see from her on T.V I just don't like. I'm just one person though. Her talent can't be denied.

    • @bernardkinloch8640

      I respect your opinion but I totally disagree, I love Syleena and I think she is a truly genuine person. I don't think she's bitter at all or a troublemaker. I think she is just a REAL ass chick and she puts her raw real emotions into everything she does. I think sometimes people mistake an outspoken person for being rude or bitter or hating..etc.., but often times that is not the case. I'm a lot like Syleena and I can relate to her because people like us are often misjudged. Syleena is just a passionate person and that's completely normal. I love all the divas. Much love to ya!!

    • @loveyoutooido9101
      @loveyoutooido9101 10 лет назад

      Bernard Kinloch I respect your opinion as well. We can't all be the same and I get that. I guess I just gravitate towards more gentle, laid back, less confrontational personalities. The "divas" not just Syleena seem to always take things to a 10 for minuscule reasons. They all could use a conflict management course. I know it makes for good T.V, but it also makes me not be able to relate. For instance you stated that you and Syleena have some characteristics in common and that makes her relate-able to you. A lot of times being a fan of an artist is more than just the music it's the person. I don't argue with my friends, I don't get into physical altercations, and I don't curse and scream to the top of my lungs in conversations. I also really try to fact find before I make accusations. So basically for a person like myself, it has to be about the music only. I'm sure she's appreciative though to all of those who support her music. I still follow her on Twitter and Facebook, and have no problem liking pics, and posting my accolades when she does something I enjoy!

    • @bernardkinloch8640
      @bernardkinloch8640 10 лет назад

      Oh absolutely. Im very surprised that you and your friends dont argue. Y'all must be perfect...lol. I argue with my friends sometimes but we know that we love each other and the friendship overlays any drama. I think thats when u truly know you have a friend. When u have a knock out drag out with a friend. What happens after shows you rather the friendship was genuine or false. If I have a friend and we never had a disagreement, I'd question the friendship cuz nobody perfect and we human. Im not saying I get into physical alterations but im just saying arguing in general. Your pretty cool. Much love

    • @loveyoutooido9101
      @loveyoutooido9101 10 лет назад

      Bernard Kinloch That's funny, I must be perfect lol, now no one is saying that come on now let's be nice! :) Seriously I don't like the label arguing I have deep serious conversations, debates, whatever you want to call it, with my friends, but it always comes to a resolution even if we agree to disagree, and honestly it never results in any of the situations I've seen play out on the show. I think people are just so used to drama that they don't know that you can actually have and maintain lasting "real" (your word not mine) friendships without it. My BFF and I have been knowing each other for 20 years now, and we've never fallen out, literally not once! Have we disagreed of course we have, obviously we won't see eye to eye about everything but through it all that's my Ace! We don't sugar coat things, when I'm wrong she tells me and vice versa, on the opposite end of the spectrum, I "had" a best friend from childhood that I think I just outgrew. I love her and still talk to her to this day, but we are just not as close as we were. The reason being I had to step back because of all of the "drama"! Issues all of the time, and wanting to say any and everything that came to mind without thinking of how it would affect someone. That is fine for some people but it's just not for me, only because I try to be so careful in what I say and try to consider other's feelings. I honestly have a close-nit group of about 7 that I can truly say are my "friends" of course there are acquaintances, co-workers etc, but my "friends" we keep it real, and keep it moving. Tell me why would you want to be around people who could go off at the drop of a dime, or you think you might end up fighting before the night is over? C'mon Bernard I think you see the point I'm trying to make. I'm not perfect nor do I expect anyone else to be. I think the root of my dissertation is that a lot of what is popular on T.V and in media regarding black women seems to be negative. We're always angry, cursing, going-off, fighting, mad! I don't like it, doesn't mean I don't like Syleena I was only stating my opinion on what I gathered by viewing her on T.V and over different media forums. Thanks for the conversation, see we're being civil and stating our opinions and at the end of the day if we don't agree I think we're both O.K with that!

    • @bernardkinloch8640
      @bernardkinloch8640 10 лет назад +1

      Absolutely, this is how a debate should be. I wasn't trying to be shady either..lol If I came across that way I apologize. I think its good when people can have level headed debates and not take it personal. You cool as hell yo. As far as tv goes though, yes its sad how the women are portrayed but unfortunately thats what the networks want and what the "people" crave to see. Without the drama the ratings drop. LOL. Its sad but thats how it is. I would still watch and I know u would too but unfortunately the masses prefer opposite. I absolutely see your point and I understand you. I enjoyed our convo. Much Love

      Jared brooks that may be true but the fact remains that Syleena could easily make a phone call and clear this all up. She chooses no to and it adds unecesary drama to a show that is meant to be uplifting.

    • @bernardkinloch8640
      @bernardkinloch8640 10 лет назад +2

      fyecarmel2012 I don't blame Syleena for how she feels. She has the right to feel that way, rather it was Faith's project or not. When the woman include their own copy written songs on the album, it becomes a collection. Slyleena's song Stonewall is on the album as Faith Evans featuring Syleena Johnson, however that song is Syleena's song and was on her Chapter Five album. Right is right and wrong is wrong. In Syleena's defense she did say she finds it hard to believe that Faith would be malicious so She's not slandering Faith. She also didn't care that much about it so why should she call Faith. She just answered a question asked. I think sometimes people just expect things to be "Uplifting" all the time but these are real people with real life raw emotions and they have everyday struggles and fall short just like us. I love all the Divas and respect their talents. Much Love!!..LOL…and don't be so hard on my girl!..LOL..Much love!
