In Naples, they do something called pizza fritta ripiena, which is like a fried calzone with ricotta instead of mozzarella. In Bari they do a smaller version of pizza fritta called panzerotti. It is too bad no one knows about it because it tastes incredible.
Definitely Team Calzone for me! The first version I saw in the late 80s, they put the sauce and toppings in a clay dish and covered it with dough. When they served it, they cut around the edge of the dough and turned it upside down on your plate, removed the clay dish and there were the piping hot toppings and cheese. Maybe not the traditional way, but I still remember how good it tasted!

seen a lot of calzones in Italian restaurants and some pizza chains now most of their dough folded over more cheese rather than sauce, but they'll send cups of salsa with it sometimes what they call chutney to dip it in. it can get expensive because price of cheese, thats why people order one or other. we've had smaller version for about 30 years now hot pockets quick snack for kids or late night.
I know it would probably be quite an undertaking, due to both the availability and the price, but it would be wonderful to have a sampling of at least four or five different types of cheese for the team to try. I think Mehboob thinks that there's just one product called "cheese" that's used in every recipe that includes it! But there are soft, semi-soft and hard varieties of cheese. Some are consumed right away and others are aged for anywhere from weeks to years before they're eaten! 🧀 And the real beauty of cheese is that it can be made by them at home, from their own fresh milk and usually just a few other simple ingredients (like salt) that they'd most likely have as staple foods in their pantry/larder. Goat's milk cheese is delicious (especially when assorted herbs are blended into it), as is cheese made from the milk of sheep and cows! Maybe a video that shows and explains the different types of cheese and their countries of origin would be good to start with! Knowing how much both Mehboob and Manzoor like to cook, I think they'd be fascinated by the process and the variety!
I haven't been to their country, but Pizza that I had in another country involved a goat's milk cheese that was not like we have here in the us. It was rubbery and pretty much salty and tasteless otherwise. Not what I would have called prime ingredients. So I think that, while they might be available, I agree with you that it would be expensive

Since they liked Calzone, I think they will appreciate Empanadas. I make the Sureñas, a recipe from the South of Chile (my husband is from there), a recipe made with minced meat, onions, raisins, and hard-boiled eggs, very well seasoned with cumin and black pepper. There are recipes from other countries, such as Argentina and Uruguay, that have their own empanadas, and since Chile is a very long country, Santiago (Chile's capital) and the northern region of Chile also have they have different recipes. I also think they all would love to try "doce de leite" (this is in Portuguese, that is in Brazil; "dulce de leche" is in Spanish), which is a very common sweet from South America and it is in several countries in the region. I think Naseeba would love it.
