Everything about Ellen's design is good... until you get to the Shark part. First off, her personality doesn't really scream "shark". Honestly it would fit her more if she was like a badger or a wolverine. Secondly, bro... that tail looks like ass. Imagine grabbing a small shark, cutting its head of and gluing it to the her back. That is what it looks like to me and I cannot unsee it. If instead of sticking out, it should flow downwards and she also should have a sharkfin on her back instead of a whole ass shark sticking out of her back. I know its nitpicking but I just can't unsee it.
Idk about you but I disagree on the Shark Personality most shark's a Opportunistic Hunters and most of them primarily feed on smaller fish. Ellen being laid back makes sense for a Shark, I honestly don't even know what you mean by "shark" personality like can you give more detail?

A Shark's tail isn't much of an appendage that sticks out but just the literal back half of the shark.
