    I originally like you thought that the PM2 and the PM3 was fugly. But after you hold one, it becomes clear as day. Phenomenal egos and all around knife. Never leave home without one. Susie is coming out with a pre order salt in Magnacut light weight. I plan to Frankenstein one of my Pm3’s and switch out the Magnacut blade onto a regular Pm3. 😀

      You have to continue opening and closing until the mechanism adjusts. But if it is too tight you have to loosen it using a torx screwdriver

    I think the reason the bugout is so customizable is becuase the stock handle scales suck. Being able to squeeze them together so that they touch is daily easy. It doesn’t feel sturdy in your hand. All the aftermarket scales are made of more sturdy material to address this. Para 3 lw doesn’t have this issue and thus no after market scales. I have no real complaints. I think the scales are designed much better than the bugout.

    I was thinking about getting a Lightweight and swapping the scales with some titanium ones since it's cheaper than a stock Para 3.
    Only thing I'm not sure about is the difference in blade steel.

    • @bladesandedc
      @bladesandedc Год назад +1

      The only titanium scales I have seen for the LW make the action terrible. However the aluminum Applied Weapons Technology scales keep the great action, keep it LW, and make it feel much more premium in hand. With the LW your only 2 blade steel options are BD1N and Spy27. Spy27 is going to be closer to s45vn and BD1N is not quite as good as s30v. Bother are pretty decent steels though.

      The ergonomics are the same and so is the blade prifile. They cut the same. I think you should consider the blade steel for edge retention. SO I would recommend getting a regular Para 3 in 20cv or s110v since you cut a lot of carboard.

    I'm not cool with FRN scales I prefer g10 or micarta. I love spyderco I have alot of there knives but I won't purchase FRN plastic. My problem with spyderco is you have companies were there knive is a cheap 15 20 dollar knife and it has G10 scales so why can't they give me a g10 handle for a fair price. Leave frn on 50 or under knive or just have a light weight line. But I'm a spyderco fan so I keep buying spyderco with g10 knives .they've made me there bitch. I hate and love them. 🤣Great video brother 👍

      Have you ever owned the Para 3? No? Then how do you know? Those two knives don't even begin to compare with one another, so why bring it up? Because you can't afford a Spyderco and had to settle with a low-tier Coldsteel knife?
