Been looking at a few multi effects units and I have to compliment MOOER on such a logical layout. The best I've seen. However, not quite sure of the sounds just yet !
I had bought your GE 150 and now in A small package you've got the tones and your function outs are every thing a true guitarist needs. Head phone jack, two lines out, plus xlr out. Of course no tempo function at not nearly half length posting. This 250 is like all ge 100 to 300 Moore pedals. Awesome 👍 job and good thinking. The tool to work with a gigging band members. Hope the price will be comfortable. After checking Amazon and doing a research, found that GE 150 fit my bill. Now with the V250, your company is about to hit the ceiling and this tool, I'm sure will be seen a lot now, world wide. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙉🙊🙈
I gave them a chance but their firmware update bricked my unit, exhausted all options Trying to resolve it. I’d be down to try them again in the future but after some product and development maturity.
Only asking as I can’t be entirely certain while listening on my iPad, but, in your opinion, are the effects on the Mooer 200/150 etc as good / of the same quality as the amp sims. Thanks.

@@andry.spampy Hotone sounded like already being mixed well. Good amount of headroom. Plus, Im both a bassist and guitarist, Hotone has good amp simulation for both. However, I read from Chinese forum, Mooer has better distortion. The only issue is Mooer's cab is not that good even for the ge300, you'll need a 3rd party IR
It's not like it's hard to find IRs being given away though. I've accumulated far more than I'll probably even give a fair test, let alone use in a project, and I haven't needed to buy any of them. The quality with which an IR gets applied would matter to me more than what the default IR sounds like.

Mooer has one of the best build quality, the amp sims are ok, but lack definition and nuance of similar priced multifx big boys like line6, which mooer needs to work on if they want to compete.
Line 6, Headrush, Boss and other brands mid tier effects processors are far more expensive than this. This is 450 USD on thomann. A gt100 is 600, a line 6 podh500x is 650. The mooer ge250 is the best priced amp modeller for what you pay for.

Can you get decent sound out of this through PC speakers (using with software as interface, or straight headphone jack)? I'm planning to buy one of this for bedroom practice but I don't have a cab or amp yet.
Im using yamaha msp5. If you need to record some staff, i will suggest you to buy a good speaker. It is because using some plugin/multi to record guitar is much more convenient than micing a real amp. Also, a good speaker can help up you mixing and having good experience when listening song.
Thanks for the response :) I just bought Personus E4.5 monitors for practice and recording and they sound quite good. I still cannot decide between mooer ge250 and Ampero, but I lean towards mooer because of the effects loop (it gives you the ability to switch between effects using looper).
I thought it would have a better tuner with more marks on it. My clip on tuner has more cents and is more accurate. I have a GE200 which says the chords are in tune but my clip on tuner says that it is still a few cents sharp or flat.
I think the global eq is useful, because its the second EQ section that can cut&boost eq.(sometime one eq is not enough). Im not really care about the xlr out. And the tone capture function is the one of the important upgrade.

This: Instead of paying more than $100 for amp sims and getting 10-15 so-so tones. Try to collect your money and invest in 1 good tone. If solid state does it for you, then go that way, if you want valve tone then go in that direction. My experience is all the $100's and $50's I've dropped on digital tones over the last 20 years, I couldve gotten 3 x Mesa's with superb tone. -Amp sims in general are not recording or gig worthy, they are however good for rough versions of a final piece, to give you an indication what it would sound like. by no means the real thing, not even close. despite what the developers of these products say.
This sounds horribly digital to my ears, compared with my Helix (which I've been gigging with for two years solid). Also, the Ampero is cheaper (in the UK) by around £100, and has the ability to change the order of the blocks.
