I’ve been trying a more simplistic/cartoony art style lately (mostly inspired by this channel and Vivziepop’s art style) and I gotta say it is SO much fun. Before, I never used black lineart in my life, but now I get to use it all the time and it looks so clean. Also as a young aspiring artist, you do not need to ask to study someone's style as long as you don't post something copying their style without credit. If you were to post a video drawing in their style and make sure it's clearly said that "this is a study of *blanck*" then that's okay. If you don't plan to post it then you especially Don't need permission. Studying people's art is very important and helpful. Hope this helped and good luck on your journey!
