My first attempt at making the imperial Endor bunker. The bunker scene from Star Wars Return of the Jedi is one of my favorite scenes that involves the imperial AT-ST (scout walker)
haha craft sticks ftw! Yeah the elmer's seem to work so well with paper and wood. a primer is such a great idea! thanks and i totally want to do that now!
thanks buddy! yeah been wanting to do this one for a while, but was too lazy to get the grey paint! LOL. wow that would be epic to do the inside. Thanks for watching and i'm always glad you enjoyed it man!
Wow super kind words as always i really appreciate the encouragement. Thanks so much for watching, and i hope to finish the hoth dio soon, although I was hoping to save that for a winter time upload.
Thanks man appreciate you checking in, haha, everyone can do this maybe they just don't have the patience to. But there are some people with REAL diorama skills out there, and they make superb work!
Who needs to buy these things when we got TheBudgetJedi to help us make our own! and it looks better then store bought one. Thank you so much! awesome video!
Very nice! I just finished my bunker. I realized there was so much empty space so I cut into the back and decorated the inside with the computers and room full of the orange power cells and even have both sets of sliding doors.
thanks a lot for the compliment! yeah well nothing wrong with the real playset, i made it because i didn't want to buy it, but the real playset is a lot more playable as well! Cheers
Spray paint: $3 Craft sticks: $1 Elmer's glue: $2 The look on my face when it was finished: priceless Haha great job, you really know how to do alot with a little. Great work!
man you really have an eye for using the right materials, looks so cool, for sure one of my favorite scenes from the original trilogy. Adding a bit of green wouldn't hurt.
I don't think I really need to say this, but this is yet another fantastic diorama. You're like the MacGyver of action figure displays. You can take a USPS box and turn it into a bunker. You're a genius, man.
this is a keeper. and in my opinion, craft sticks are among mankinds greatest inventions. just thought i'd put that out there. the consruction looks really solid...if you really wanted to go the extra step with the paint job, you can use a gray primer spray paint from krylon. it provides total coverage, even over any gloss lettering
haha imagine teaching a class focusing on star wars diorama. that would certainly be my kind of class. I hear you about scaling man, good point! the current playset is just too small to enjoy lol
hahaha yeah he does have a huge pack. But it looks super cool! Thanks for watching man, I'll upload the talon video for you next, that'd be end of next week. Cheers!
Yeah i hear you, like i said in the video, I know there are 2 opening hatches on top (the egg shaped vents) but that's something I will work on later as i go along
Great job...that Endor Bunker is most impressive it looks so real I especially like the door. one thing, however, is that the extra layer on top isn't really needed, and it has 2 little egg shaped vents on the top too...nonetheless it is superb job that I probably wont be able to pull off even though I really want to
Thanks for checking in man! lol, yeah. I do have lots of ideas i'm working on slowly, the problem is I also have regular job and busy life.. boooo I don't wanna grow up! Thanks for watching!
Imagination and creativity are a wonderful combination. You should teach a class. . . . I love that the bunker is scaled properly. One of the reasons I shy away from buying ships is improper scaling. I realize that with some it would be impractical; however, I still think it important for accuracy, etc. Thanks, man, for sharing!
Thanks for the kind words! I hope you share with us some of your collections also - loading of han by boba fett, yes indeed I hope to get to that one day, when everything's settled down with my moving - I really appreciate your support !
wow that's great - and that's a really tough one. the hasbro product does have an "inside" but it's not accurate. I would just go to the actual movie and try to recreate the control room, and the power source would have to be a printed picture or something. that's so exciting i hope we all get to see your creation!
Great Job! I've been looking for something to use to build a house with wooden slats on the outside your lolly sticks has given the answer. :) I so like this design and it's simple to make.
Ed, This is fantastic! Way to take us all to school again! You rock professor of Star Wars arts & crafts; you are truly the Diorama Master. Hope you are doing well. Ttys. LS
I'm not clear on what you're asking, but basically it's just cardboard shapes, and I put those craft sticks glued on top of them. all the cardboard have flaps on bottom and top of them so you can put them on the main body at any angle you want i think... hope that helps
Thanks for the kind comment good sir! Yeah would really be awesome if Hasbro really made everything in scale. One of my biggest wishes is a 3 3/4 inch scale imperial shuttle. which would take up my whole living room LOL. Thanks for watching
Thanks Jesse, really appreciate it man! You got me really excited about that dio man, I also hope to do a cantina bar some day when I find something that i can use. I can't wait to see it!!
I just started building this myself on a much larger scale so I can build an interior and light it with fiber optics this video really helped me get started though
no that is the dims of the first big box that i showed to start with as a "base". then the rest is just pieces made to fit around that thing. The doorway is about 4 inches deep. hope that helps
My father and I were very close and we never did one of these. He was usually very lazy and was sometimes asleep so he could to his nightshift as the SPD. When I watch your videos I believe I can make the biggest diorama ever. Thing is, I forget the fact that it is hard to do. I don't even have the right supplies xD! Anyway, love the dioramas and keep up the good work.
thanks for watching, I was totally skeptical too, i never know if something is gonna work or not. And as you can see there is much room for improvement stilL!
Thanks for watching my friend, this was a lucky one, i did not know how it would come out. And yes, the control panel was totally a short cut though! lol I dunnno where i have the space for it, but it's one of my more solid pieces indeed.
sure thing! it's actually using 3 medium size flat rate boxes and large express mail boxes from the united states postal service. (free boxes). The main body is 2 cut up boxes made to be 14 inch x 12 inch x 6 inch high. the rest of the parts is made to fit over that or on the side of that. hope that helps!
I absolutely love your videos man - for those of us trying to create similar type of dioramas you are an inspriation! I would love to see a "Loading of Han by Boba Fett" diorama - something on the Bespin Platform. Thanks and keep em coming!
thanks man, no worries I love your endor dio, it literally looks like a small forest on a shelf! appreciate the support as always man
haha craft sticks ftw!
I spent all that money on the actual set for nothing! I could have made one like this. It looks legit. I love it!
cool man, appreciate you watching and checking in
Wow super kind words as always i really appreciate the encouragement. Thanks so much for watching, and i hope to finish the hoth dio soon, although I was hoping to save that for a winter time upload.
Thanks for watching! yeah i've seen that battle pack, really hope i can find one too! Appreciate the kind comment as always man
Thanks man appreciate you checking in, haha, everyone can do this maybe they just don't have the patience to. But there are some people with REAL diorama skills out there, and they make superb work!

Yes i did, thanks for recognizing and appreciating, much appreciated!
Great video! You nailed it with the door, thats excellent. Your painting looks great and the build was inspired. Superb.

Thanks! Ah, they are too cheap to be sold, anyone can make one lol! thanks for watching!
TheBudgetJedi I would buy them! I always have some spare change on hand
