I saw a comment while Jerma was playing Rogue that went something like "the game's age is no excuse to explain nothing" dude you don't understand. in the 80s and 90s everything had a manual with it. even if it was just the liner of the cassette / disk box. some flight sims my dad played had actual book manuals and physical keyboard overlays (so that next to the F-keys on a C64, it'd say like"autopilot" etc etc next to each one) I used to like to read the Eye of the Beholder II manual cos it had info on all the classes, spells, monsters etc. often they'd act as copy protection and ask you "what's the 5th word on the 9rh page" or something similar... cos it wasn't quite so easy to photocopy game manuals to go with pirated games. (which, btw, were a norm back then. they used to have yard sale type things here and there'd be loads of copied Amiga games lol, nobody gave a shit, if you could get a cracked version then you'd be alright..... unless it had anti piracy like Megalomania, when it nukes your settlement within a few seconds and soft locks the game) it's fascinating to me to see how gaming has evolved. I guess back then it was the age of discovery and people liked to do that stuff. now that games are more complicated, tutorials are a must. imagine trying to learn something like Revengeance or Dark Souls without tutorials lol 5:45:25 "this arrow is annoying the heck out of me" that person never played golden axe much lol
Does dark souls really have a tutorial? I remember spending a very long time trying to figure out how to cast a spell in my first playthrough of dark souls because there was no tutorial to explain stat requirements, catalysts and spell slots
4:40:22 horribly perfect example of the Monty Hall problem. Least I think that's what it's called. the thing where you choose 1 out of 8, then half the choices are taken away and you're offered the chance to change your answer. apparently you've more chance of picking the right answer if you change your first choice. and oddly, the result jerma gets suggests he should have changed to 5s. but it IS a dice game after all.
The Monty Hall problem centers around the host knowing what the correct choice is and making decisions based on that. So yeah, it is just a dice game here.
chat: "he vapes" jerma: "that's not a...that's a pipe" chat: "yeah, a vape pipe" i laughed way too hard at that. and also at the chatter recommending to buy slaves lmfao
12:30 as an English person I'm very confused by everyone taking the piss out of Jerma's pronunciation of "oregon". I thought he said it very nicely. is it cos the murican way to say it is "organ"??? I don't even know
Traditionally, the pronunciation the locals of a place use is the accepted one. It would be strange if I pronounced London like “lawn-dawn”, wouldnt it?

He hasn't

I've always said it the way Jerma did, maybe it's pronounced differently in other parts of the US? Or maybe chat's just bullying him again lol
ive only ever heard it as "or-eh-gehn(hard G. not like jen) the way he says it sounds like the guy's name from lotr, i think that's why lol
