A.O.D - Altars of Destruction

A.O.D (Altars of Destruction) was also one of the first members
of first finnish Thrash Metal wave in the late 80's.Whearas bigger
Finnish Thrash bands played mostly Bay Area- stylish Thrash metal
A.O.D had clearly had more influences from the Teutonic Thrash bands
like Kreator and Sodom, and from the mighty Celtic Frost.
The Song "Altars of Destruction" is from their EP "Painful Awakening"'89.
They split up in 89', but they were reformed again in 2007.

I have a problem with all these people hating on thrash bands for not being original/sounding too much like '80s thrash. The point is to make great music that you can headbang or mosh to, so what if it's not the most original band ever? If the riffs make me headbang, the band is good.

Music never dies .when your hearts in it .And it just gets you pounding your head and heart .no matter what crap it may be .Thrash never died ..it just went on holiday for a while .got more evil and then smacked all the sleepers between the eyes.must admit not that keen on all the so called new wave .But thats what they were calling such classics as early sepultura Vio-lence in the hey day (New generation etc) Man keep BANGIN' Keep THRASHIN' and whatever it is that turns you on blowuptheSTEREO

Thrash metal is some of the most self-repeating music ever. It is perfect music for an intoxicated group-headbanging on a hot summer day. Just a high speed, testosterone-infused rampage. No use searching for new musical or artistic insights, tough. I agree on that.
