Great to see ya. I’m a longtime quilter (24yrs) that got back into cross stitch and recently taught myself to crochet granny squares. Also a big Kathy Schmitz fan and have done sew many of her stitcheries. Def gonna have to get this years stitch along maybe in green. Thanks for the inspiration with the Kimberbell in the hoop purse….ANOTHER thing to add to my list…you’re going to be my new enabler. Lol.

I plan to stitch the whole pattern but so far used the pattern to make a needle book. The house, trees, bird is on the front and the school is on the back. I used DMC but I didn’t like the red. I felt it was too cherry. When I do the whole pattern I plan to change it. Please talk about the quilt behind you next time.

Nancy, so good to see you again. Glad you are well and your needles continue to "fly", Like Brenda and Laura say "buy all the Blackbird", I say "buy all the Stacy Nash". Wanted to let you know that Stacy has a chart called "As the Crow Flies" that is available at Hobby House Needleworks as a kit and the kit comes with 16 count Aida. I have ordered it but it has not come yet as they are moving to a new store. Hope you and Kathy are able to work out doing a flosstube together once in a while, even if you remain in your own homes and do one like the Sisterlies. Hi Nancy so good to see you here. Life with twin grands looks so fun! I can’t even imagine it. I just have the 1 at 24 months and she wears me out. Lol I Love all your projects. You do so much. I’m still trying to plan out my year but stitching on what I want. My goal is to be better at focusing on what ive kitted and started the last few years. So many things! I think writing it down might help me this year and I hope to plan it out better and maybe work stitching on a 5 day rotation through out a month so I can touch more of the wips. 3 days is so hard for me especially since I don’t stitch daily. Having a better schedule also would help. Maybe spend an hour first of the day before anything just to get into a routine is what I’m thinking. Happy crafting and doing life with your family.
