Would've been really helpful if you'd shown how your "problem" was solved (i.e., show the bike on the rack). Also, having trouble reaching the bottle while riding? Did you forget you have a dropper post?
Morning buddy. Nice review of the bottle mount. Hope your balls are ok! Haha. I’ve never used a bottle cage on my MTB due to the bike rack mount also. I went down the bladder in my camel back route. Just a ball ache getting them cleaned out though.
Ha, balls are good now thanks! I do think bottles look clumsy on a bike but at least now it is stealth when the bottle is removed. Bottle is much less faff than a Camelbak. Funnily enough I have a new Camelbak too so there will be another review when I can get back on the bike. Sadly, I had a little whoopsie on my bike the other day so I'm on ANOTHER cycling ban for a couple of weeks. To be fair I couldn't ride my bike if I wanted to right now!
@@mtbtomfoolery yes I saw on Strava you had a whoopsie. Didn’t realise it was bad enough to stop you riding for a while. Hope you’re on the mend buddy. Look forward to seeing the camelbak review though.
Yeah, suspected torn cartilage in knee. May need keyhole surgery if it doesn't mend fully on it's own but it is getting more flexible every day so fingers crossed! Mileage target is slipping away but health is more important!!!
Thanks man, I've sacked off the painkillers now so it is improving fast. I can nearly fully extend it now (Very slowly)! Not gonna rush back on the bike, if it doesn't mend properly it can cause lots of issues further down the line. I might get some work done for a change!!
Hope you find this video useful ✔
Let me know what you think of the Fidlock system in the comments ⬇
"Really hurts my balls!", 🤣, classic, good review, I'm thinking about getting a Fidlock for shorter rides
🤣 They are fantastic, once you've tried it you'll never have a bottle cage again!
Did you have any issues clamping over the fidlock base?
None at all, I'm still using this setup.

@@mtbtomfoolery wow shit dude. Hopefully you won’t need to have the surgery. Fingers crossed for a full recovery dude.
