After spending 3 months in Herrnhut doing a YWAM DTS, I can not help but weep when I listen to this song. The presence of the Lord is so strong there, its obvious that it is a region that has been soaked in prayer and worship.
I listen to Jonathan and Melissa's songs all the time in the car and at home. I feel that there is so much intimacy between God and man in these songs. They aren't really singing just words; they are singing from their hearts to their Heavenly Father. There's great power when we just surrender all and sing from our hearts to Abba God. His heart sings right back to us.
Beautiful song! Thanks for focusing on the cross and Jesus so much. It's often lacking nowadays. Some minor corrections to the description: The tower was never designated a prayer tower, and the village is actually a town (albeit very small). We are keen to point that out :)
What microphone are you using? Any low-cut preset on there during the recording or first in the editing? And what sort of noise reduction effect/plug-in do you use to cut out the background wind and noise? Sounds great by the way. :-)
