if simply says..edge is acting as a mediation buffer between IoT and big cloud for increasing fetching speed and processing speed of the query generating from the peer IoT device... But Threat is also very high in Edge
Excellent explanation of the concept which gave a greater insight on topic and discretion towards picking differences between the cloud computing and edge computing Thank you for the explanation which I could use in my answer writing
Little confused over the fact that 5G is high speed (low latency) network and still we need edge servers. Are edge servers like big size disk where lot of data can be accumated and later can be pushed to clouds? Shouldn't the IoT device itself be considered as part of edge computing so that the device can compute/take decision even when there is no internet? Want to learn if both the above or just one of the above is edge computing?
Physical distance from the cloud server will always be an issue because it increases latency. Edge computing over comes this problem by being physically closer to the device.
Imagine 5G is like a new and improved engine for semi-trucks so that drivers can transport goods much faster over long distances. However, you don't want to just rely on a fast engine to get from point A to B; ideally you want to shorten that distance. Enter "edge computing" which would be like creating a factory that produces goods much closer to your target destination; then your truck drivers only have to travel a much shorter distance.
Thanks for valuable content on EC, however how one can learn or need to make as career in Edge Computing, who are eligible to learn as in technical background, future, demand in the market
Nice video i got good understanding. One doubt sir, Can i treat the Edge Gateway Server which sits near to me is replica of Cloud ? ( I mean it contains complete copy + same capacity to take decisions) ?
Thank you for this valuable information. Would you please make a video for switching technology towards Cloud and which cloud one should learn. I am s 10+ years exp PeopleSoft professional and want to learn and make a career in Cloud.
I am little confused here. What exactly is the "Edge device or Edge client". Is that a piece of hardware that is installed on the let's say IoT devices for Processing or storage or is the "Edge device or Edge client" an intelligent software that enables let's say the autonomous car to process data using the CPU inside the autonomous car. Some one please explain
Well explained! Would be good if you can Briefly explain the jargons like IoT, so everyone understands the nuances upon which the higher concept is built, right in the same video itself.
You must be that "indian guy on youtube" because you just made it easy to understand. Thank you sir,
Thanks for sharing valuable information
Never stop making these videos. I can see enormous potential in this channel. :)
Bhai your videos are awesome. Thanks for making such amazing videos.
This man is doing fentastic job.
Can you do videos on storage, servers, networks, ,security, VM etc please. I find these so understandable its brilliant , thankyou

Thanks for making videos on the latest technologies. I would love it if the frequency of videos can be increased. Love your precise and crisp videos.
Processing the data locally rather than sending it to a centralised data processing location
Good straightforward explanation. Thanks!
Great video! Very helpful!
Great content, thank you!
Thanks for simple explanation
Good work! Not an IT person but I understood some useful basics!
Hi @itkefunde, Can we call CDN is a example of Edge Computing?
Thanks for the wonderful video! i had a small doubt ..is the edge gateway server also know as a Fog computing device?
Hello sir,
please make a video on 'HOW INTERNET WORKS' , 'How are we able to search on Google' or 'How are we able to stream RUclips videos'

is Edge computing still trending software and future having jobs..?
where data processing is happening in edge client or edge gateway server?

Thanks Abhay, if you purely go by cloud adoption Aws , Azure and then GCP. But every cloud has its good or bad.
