For a house that was updated in the 1970s, it doesn't look dated at all, it still looks very modern. Not sure I would even change anything. Very beautiful.
I agree. This house needs very little updating. There is something charming about the kitchen. Just needs a larger refrigerator and a nice big stove. The downstairs bathroom and powder room could stand to be upgraded I think, but I love the feel of the upstairs bathroom.
Oh my goodness! Aside from plumbing/heating, this place needs No update from the 70’s! Those round doors, those fireplaces- are phenomenal! Such a gem to see, thank you!
@@Curious2Know2there are multiple options for water! A large tank, filled as needed in addition to the stream. Water collection apparatus if they have a good bit of rain or a well! All of that could be figured out as conditions of the sale, in fact the owners may have already done much of the work figuring out those options and the costs. It certainly wouldn’t be a definitive no go!
Id be far more concerned about the lack of central heating and complete lack of air conditioning! I’ve seen many homes in Italy with room air conditioners, but it would be costly to add and run them. All the pipes for central heat downstairs is great, but I would have to question why the system was not completed…did they run out of money or run into complications?
I can't imagine this didn't sell right away. For me, it is heaven on earth. What a wonderful place to own and Steward. Whoever got it, I am sure, is very happy. I would snap it up in a New York minute. The peace, the nature, so restorative. The only thing I'd do is divert some of the water that would come down on rainy days and create a mosaic cistern. It's truly a marvel, thank you for featuring it. I am new to your channel and now I must binge watch all your content. 😊
Absolutly wonderful ! Just perfect delivered, no clutter , no modern ”necesseties” that noone needs, perfect! And do not even think or talk about painting roof white, this house is perfect as is!
I really enjoyed this beautiful home. Nick, I love you but please stop "apologizing" for the 1970's. I live in a mid century modern home in Florida. It is the hottest thing on the market in the States. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I appreciate the timelessness of this house and style. I like the love the continuity of the light fixtures! The open flow between the rooms. I wouldnt change a thing! Except it is in the middle of nowhere and who will cut the lawn, 5 hectares, and other practical things. Please keep doing what you are doing.❤️
Love the style of this home, with the large sloped tile roofline and all of the beautiful arched doorways! It has a Italian/Californian vineyard/ranch atmosphere and with all of that land would likely make a terrific vineyard. Considering that it was renovated in the 70's it actually has a timeless feel. Really nice! So glad you the realtor reached out to you for a tour 🙂
This is a very livable home, and much larger than it appears in the first shots! The beams are wonderful, look hand hewn, just the way you’d want in a rustic stone home, hundreds of years old🥰. Five hectares / 12 + acres and ancient home for €200k. Amazing value. Wonderful tour, Nick, loved it❤
Lovely home! It wouldn’t cost much to find out what it would cost to get a large water tank or see if a well could be drilled before purchasing this gorgeous property! Unless the creek has run dry, one could live there while getting the water sorted. The arched doors are fabulous!
@@matzzzz I love the kitchen as it is, and the tiles in the bathroom are beautiful; definitely a 70s vibe about the place - I'm a 70s lass :) I would move in tomorrow.
Love this place! The symmetry of the added on space with the arched doorways, yes. All the other arched doorways and doors, yes! The intricate bathroom tiles, YES! Even the kitchen is workable for a humble person not trying to get their space shown in Architectural Digest. The fireplaces. The repetition of the similar fireplaces and hearths, the arched doorways, even the similar Japanese lantern lightshades makes the place flow. Dare I say fabulous?
I love this house, it’s not so rustic, Nick. Kitchen looks beautiful and spotless, love the unusual tiles, wonderful wooden doors, beautiful stone walls, those arches!!! The price is great and I hope the right family shows up. You never disappoint. ❤
What a lovely feel to this house. The amount of work to be done is essential, but not overwhelming. The winter months would be interesting and the cottage Road to the main road hopefully is not too far from the house and again I would not change very much with this house.
What a beauty! I love the tile in the upstairs bathroom. I love the fireplaces in the bedrooms. The kitchen needs updating but the rest is pretty perfect. The price is crazy for the land and size of home. Wow!!! Thank you for your time and as always I enjoyed the visit. xoxo❤🙏
Not sure what you're on about here, Nick. This house is just about perfect as is! Hopefully the foundation issue is not a major one, and the heating can be resolved pretty easily. Other than that, it's an amazing country house which, once again, was sold on the opening shot of the video! The kitchen might benefit from a new oven, and some extra counter space (an island, maybe, with storage underneath), but nothing more. A good price, too, for all that house, AND land. Imagine waking up to that view every day. Thanks, Neil
Seriously gorgeous home. The only thing that makes me nervous is the lack of a water source besides the stream. Given the age of the property, wells must have existed in the past, or there might be an issue with the water table/water quality.
The only things that need updating are the baths and kitchen. The details in this house are incredible. The stone walls, the fireplaces, the beamed ceilings, the arched openings. The land and views are gorgeous. If I could retire tomorrow, I'd buy it.
"Over the hill and far away"🎶💞 Could do so much with this land and the house is great. I like all its quirks and the way you always make us feel like we are there with you. Thank you, Nick.
I agree with the others, no really need of big updates. I would just move in and see if all is working and all is safe, but it does looks really good. And I also like the furniture. 😆
Great show. Thanks for showing us the many Tuscan delights. Just a suggestion. Sometimes when you mention what a great view through that window or terrace you move on to another room. But look just a suggestion. So relaxing watching your videos and laid back presentation. We love it.
Those wire & paper light shades are a design classic! Team them up with lots of books some beautiful Caucasian hand made carpets and some lovely hand thrown ceramics and comfortable sofas - what more could you want? How does the current water supply work? Is there a water tank somewhere and a pump?
Stunning property. It only need a renovation. The conservation is perfect. I like it. And the house and 5 has for this price!!! it is a bargain, absolutly. Thank you Nicck
Even though it was redone in the 70s, their choices in tiles, etc. weren't anything too garish. I don't even mind that very patterned tile in the upstairs bathroom on the walls and floor. Some of that's actually coming back a bit now. Great tour!
You get tax breaks or money from the government every year if you make your property an eco tourism farm. I think you must have one crop you grow each year like grapes or olive trees. We stayed at a small eco tourism farm in Tuscany with a pool and olive Grove overlooking San Gimignano. That house is gorgeous. What a great price!
Hi Nick!!! Wow this is a steal. Come on what's the catch?? Lol. Amazing price and the house is beautiful. Yes it needs work like a new kitchen and bathrooms. And you are right I would paint the ceilings leaving the wood beans as is. I really like the ground level layout because it's spacious. I wish we could have seen the rest of the property. Is it an open space or full of trees and bushes? With that much land I would build a pool, a guest house and a big barn type structure. That way I could spend my summers eating great food and drinking wine by the pool. I would send you and your family an open invitation of course. Great video as always. Thanks I hope this message finds you well, Jersey Lou
Only major change I see would be those super busy tiles in the one bathroom! Are Toto style bidets available? That would give the owner a bidet without having to add more plumbing! We love ours, but maybe Italians do not?
Dear Nick, my wife, Trisha, and I have been following for about a year or so and have to say that your vids are full of fun and life. You have such a wonderful down to earth style yet refined appreciation of the well crafted and beautiful. Appreciate you and thanks for supplying the conduit to dreams while making our long Alaskan winter a bit more bearable! From a couple of aging Gen Xers with the last kiddo nearly out of the house and looking to shake things up, cheers! Hope to visit some time… and who knows, maybe never leave?! BTW…we saw the potential with this property right away but we were too timid to reach out! It’s the right price for us. Still available? Ciao!
I’m afraid this has sold. Please email info@abodeitaly.com and we can put you on the database and inform you of new properties. Hope to see you here soon. Thanks for watching 🤗🤗
Oh my this one is a gem! The price (my jaw dropped)! What a wonderful project re-designing a kitchen. Yes it needs updating here and there but what a wonderful home. It's surrounded by beautiful trees... I love trees. Such a stunning view. Peace and quiet. Thank you Nick for another wonderful property. Hope whomever is lucky enough to buy this property has many wonderful years there.
Challenging! Digging the well would certainly improve this place. Nice for a family eventually. Thank you for these tours, I look forward to them each week.
Yes, slightly quirky it is, but still in good condition. The house itself is lovely as seen from outside, the floorplan is...unconvenional, but with lots of potential. I am quite sure that I've noticed also in the master bedroom (the with bed on the 1st floor) also some central heating pipes protruding from the wall below the window. Stay safe,Nick & Greetings from DE Joachim
Hello Nick, what a great house! I love it . This house just needs some love . Granted the water issue is important and I think the central heating is a good idea and would only give it more value plus you make it a cozy full time home. The wall for sure should be checked out. But if someone bought it now they could be comfortable in it until they could get those things done. Here in Maine we’ve been haveing some cooler dry air making it cozy and so ready for my favorite time of year fall. Iam done with the hot humid weather and I hope it cools a bit there for you too. Thanks again for such a lovely property tour have a beautiful blessed day!🙏🕊💕🍂🌾🍄🌻
Fabulous views, plenty of room for more olive trees, fabulous price, and great bones. Needs a sympathetic renovation of sorts subject to what use the house will be to you. Less Reno’s for a holiday home or more renovations if you wish to live there. I love it. Thanks Nick. You always hit the mark.
Had seen this property on the website but it didn't move me (Still confused as to why they're always less than a megapixel in size/quality) ...Then Nick comes around with the gimble and the 4k camera to just moves you there! The tranquil beauty of this place is quite special. Some of the properties you tour have a very odd interior layout that don't suit modern living standards that well but this is just an absolute gem. Renovate it Axel Vervoordt style, get some insulation in the roof, maye install a pool, plant some olives and vines. You've got your house and the complimentary gift in olive oil and wine for friends and family all in one! Hope the new owners manage to extract all the beauty on offer here and turn it into a timeless piece of architectural art. Tour very much appreciated, Nick :)
I just love this place . A little to big for us but ... The doors and ceilings ... The view . And the price ! I would keep the 70ties bathroom as it is .
Another gorgeous place as always!!! Any chance we could get a tour of any old town spots in foligno or spezzo? Those towns have caught my eye for value. Keep up the awesome work!
Love this property. The extent of the land and the uninterrupted views are incredible. Love the price. In fact, am surprised and puzzled why the price is so low. Even if you have to rewire and replumb as well as do all the surface stuff, it’s still a bargain.
i love this layout! the kitchen just needs some lovin' ;) and i don't think it will need much! it is a rustic beauty! and i absolutely see the entertaining space you mention and it is fantastic! this tuscan charmer is ready for some minimal updates and nothing else in my estimation. it may have been hot that day but this place is 'cool' lol :) the country side is gorgeous and the house gives you the advantage of all that lovely sunlight and beautiful scenery coming right in to make it so cheery! i love the comfort the space brings!!! what a great place to spread out in so my jaw dropped when you said the price! it is a jewel and your presentation just lets it shine! as always you know how to let italy sell itself nick :)
Would you “Please” translate Hectares into acres. And pounds into dollars. For your American viewers. If you can’t that’s ok, just was hoping. Love your channel! 😁
Hi Nick, Love the corner fireplace in the kitchen. What 60 meters isn't that like just under 200 feet (60 x 3 aprox) ok that is huge!! a ballroom! love the beams! I can't help thinking this long room would easily facilitate lectures, business meetings, as well as being a great room for art classes and so many things, as well as a great party room! I like that a lot of the doors and archways are semi circles! Love the terrace and the view~~Yep I agree planks painted white, leave the beams!! Love the fireplaces, windows and terraces off each bedroom! That is a surprising price! Thank you so much for this wonderful tour, Nick! Have fun! Best Wishes, Laara WilliamSen Canada PS I would have fun buying or finding new ceiling light fixtures!!!❤❤

What is the mode of transportation? Motorcycle? A car would be helpful, but those roads look narrow.
There was a truck in the back ground at the 2:34 mark
Me too! Love it.
That's because the trends have shifted so that old unrenovated homes are more appealing.
The kitchen is gorgeous. I love the house the way it is.
Me too. This is perfect
this is a timeless house, stone and wood is never outdated. pretty much perfection for many of us watching

Very nice house. I woudnt change anything. But the water is really a problem...
Wouldn't change a thing except for kitchen and update baths
You find some amazing places. Love this property. All the best to the new owners
I really enjoyed this one Nick.
Fantastic deal
First! We are your mega-fans here in Linz, Austria 😎
Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️🙏😊 Nick.
Very interesting property and so inexpensive t❤
I just love this place .
A little to big for us but ...
The doors and ceilings ...
The view .
And the price !
I would keep the 70ties bathroom as it is .
Another gorgeous place as always!!! Any chance we could get a tour of any old town spots in foligno or spezzo? Those towns have caught my eye for value. Keep up the awesome work!
So sorry for my delay. Yes! Please email the office and let them know what your looking for. Info in description. ❤️🙏😊 N.
Love this property. The extent of the land and the uninterrupted views are incredible. Love the price. In fact, am surprised and puzzled why the price is so low. Even if you have to rewire and replumb as well as do all the surface stuff, it’s still a bargain.
I agree. ❤️🙏😊 N.
i love this layout! the kitchen just needs some lovin' ;) and i don't think it will need much! it is a rustic beauty! and i absolutely see the entertaining space you mention and it is fantastic! this tuscan charmer is ready for some minimal updates and nothing else in my estimation. it may have been hot that day but this place is 'cool' lol :) the country side is gorgeous and the house gives you the advantage of all that lovely sunlight and beautiful scenery coming right in to make it so cheery! i love the comfort the space brings!!! what a great place to spread out in so my jaw dropped when you said the price! it is a jewel and your presentation just lets it shine! as always you know how to let italy sell itself nick :)
Just finished reading your message. I know I’m late but thank you. ❤️🙏❤️Nick.
Love the country homes you showcase.
Just lovely. Tge price is right as Bob barker would say
Would you “Please” translate Hectares into acres. And pounds into dollars. For your American viewers. If you can’t that’s ok, just was hoping. Love your channel! 😁
1 hectare equals 2.47 acres. 1 £ = $1.22
❤️
