I don’t think £100 is too bad all things considered - expensive, yes but everything is these days… after all, no price should be put on reliable safety. It'd be nicer cheaper. Knowing the extenders aren't needed it might be cheaper to buy the mirrors and source the arms/mounts. No way of knowing in advance I guess, kinda why I did the vid. Ram stuff IS quality, I agree. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Good stuff bud, have been using double take mirrors for 5 years, expensive but very adjustable and should not break when you drop the bike as long as they are not over tightened.
Had these exact ones on my ktm 500. The left side sometimes comes loose and that mirror has a full width crack. I'm happy with the standard ones on my 690.
CB, I’m afraid that just doesn’t qualify as a TMJ. Easy access, no fiddly nuts or washers to drop and most significantly no DrJ to “help”. As regards the price, I agree you get what you pay for. I’m just amazed you spent it. 😂😂😂
Weeeelllll. I did not want to spend it. I also did not know it would be easy, partly why I did the video so others could save money by not buying the kit, as most of it not needed on 500x. BUT. Someone bought my old ones for pretty much full price. Then I got the 500x. Then I realised I liked the mirrors. Sooo, dammit I had to buy them again. So, what seems straightforward, aint. And I got to hope She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed never sees this 😉🤞
Your last sentence made me LOL 😂. I think you need to keep this set of mirrors through every future bike change and put in your will that when the time comes they depart this world with you. With regards to the TMJ, all I would ask is that when you put up the video for replacing the rear shock you show all the debates with DrJ and the 20+ ways of trying to fit it with accurate timings. That way all your devoted followers will be able to see TMJ’s in a real world world situation. I can’t wait to see it. 😮😮😮
You may be disappointed. I did have to admit DrJ was actually right, once. But by the law of averages it has to happen eventually. Still not ridden the bike due to weather and other events. I tend to give stuff a while before making a conclusion. And yes, keeping these mirrors. Had the previous on 2 bikes, I should have known better. I reckon they'll go well on my mobility scooter in time... 👍👍
All was looking good until I saw the price. Who is going to be stupid enough to pay that! I somehow think they will be the preserve of vloggers that haven’t paid for them. Great idea, £100 overpriced
True they are very expensive. But I always buy my own stuff. Not all vloggers get free things. That's why I put off buying them. But you get what you pay for - sometimes - these last a lifetime and I am that stupid 🙃 Thanks for the insult and insinuation - it makes it all worthwhile👍 Very soon there will only be corporate videos on YT and people will wonder where the ordinary people went, and why they left…
No problem, accepted. They are expensive. It might be possible to just buy the mirrors and source the rest of the Ram mounts/arms from other suppliers. I couldn't find a 500x video so thought this might help, especially as no adapters are needed on this bike. But they should last a lifetime and can be transferred to other bikes. I wish I'd kept my original set, but somebody offered me, more or less, the retail price so I let them go. They keep their value, at least until copies from the East arrive. 👍
@peter3994,Before making a comment about these, you should research the subject a bit and see how many people use them, and just how many people you have called stupid..Expensive? Yes, but once you try them you will see why there are so many stupid adventure bike riders 🤨🤓
They are expensive in this form. Next time I'd buy the mirrors and source the balls/arms separate. But there won't be a next time, hopefully as these last - 🤞

Yes I wish I'd kept my first set. They should last a lifetime and can be used on most bikes. I will not be parting with these. Cheers 👍👍

It's a drawback that they need to be set each ride, if you fold them away like I do. I'll bear that in mind. Also they are easy to steal. 😲👍
