You don't need pen and paper ! There are Addons like "Master Plan" and "Garrison Mission Manager" which will make your life so much easier. They will automatically calculate the best follower combinations for a mission. You only need then to select one of the proposed choices with one click and the mission will start. The "Master Plan" addon will help with the mission selection itself, instead of going through every mission it will list all the missions from top (these with the best chance to complete with your active followers) to bottom (these missions which are very unlikely to be successful at the moment), These Addons made the missions finally fun and i didn't feel anymore that this is a kind of work.
Great guide! Didn't realize I could pull the followers out of the buildings after collecting reagents to do more missions with. Improved my garrison a lot!
Thank you Preach. finally a no nonsense no bullshit garrison guide for people who want to min max it. If only I had a guide this intuitive a week or so before WoD dropped i would be in a much better spot.
Just something to add, the MasterPlan addon is great for follower missions. It will list out all the traits/abilities and the number of followers who have each one. Plus, it recommends which followers you should choose for missions
I know I personally am glad I picked up a Lumber Mill and maxed it first. It has supplied me with tons of resources in order to upgrade my other buildings. Once I am several thousand resources in and done with all my level 3 buildings I will probably switch it to the Ogre portals.
Kinda figured most of this for myself, but its really useful to know that you only need to assign followers to buildings before you collect work orders
My advice for follower ilvl upgrades is for each one to pick either armor or weapons to focus on and ignore the other one temporarily. The reason for this is that eventually you'll get items that instead of adding 3/6/9 ilvls just flat out give you a 615/630/645 rating in that slot. And it's the biggest value to slap that on someone who's still 600. For example I'll load up one follower with only armor enhancements until I get a 630 weapon to give him and give the weapon enhancements to someone else.
It's actually ilevel 630 that unlocks the missions with 645 gear. The missions go in stages, 100, 115, 130 and will be unlocked once you have 1 follower with that ievel(despite needing 3 to complete the mission) So It's best to raise at least 3 followers evenly Lv100 missions give 115 gear , lv115 missions give 130 gear and lv130 give 145 Some secondary traits are really awesome, scavenger, and epic mount as well as the one that boosts xp are a must have
Also keep in mind you can farm rares and treasures with handynotes to get a shit ton of resources. So you can chose to not get a lumber mill concentrate on something like a barn early on and augment your resource intake with a few hours of farming.
Personally the first building i changed was the Lumber Mill. Got the Trade building instead. You get resources from that just like with the lumber mill (different item used for work orders though) + you can trade resources for materials you can use with crafting and a (in my case) laughing skull rep vendor which has some cool items.
Just pointing out that sometimes you need a follower assigned to a building before dailies reset to get the benefit. The only example I can confirm is with the herb garden. If you remove your follower before dailies reset, you will get a random assortment of herbs. The only way to pick which herbs are planted is to have a follower assigned to the garden before the reset, tell him/her what to plant, and wait until after the reset to remove him/her.
They also unlock other benefits if you talk to them. Scribe helpers give a chance for some extra gold (or every 2 days gaunteed gold), Alchemist helpers give you a random grab-bag of potions daily. Herbalist helpers let you pick which herbs you grow in your farm. The enchanter helper can add visual enchants. Nat pagle passively boosts your fishing ability at all times, Phylarch boosts lumbermill production. That's the only ones I know off the top of my head.
Thanks for the awesome video Preach. You answered the question of follower level effecting the chance for doubled resources, I just wanted to know if iLvl also effect this. Thanks
Weird that you would say the dwarven bunker/whatever it's called for horde is useless outside of the weekly token, you didn't really touch on gearing your followers ilvl up to get raid drops weekly/bi weekly and the dwarven bunker is giving me 6 armor/weapon upgrades daily for my followers I'm currently at 23/25 all over 630 ilvl from the bunker and scrap yard. Also no need for pen and paper guys just download garrison mission manager and master plan addons from curse (both over 150k downloads this month) and it will show you an icon bar with how many of each trait/ability you have. also using your inn (5 extra followers) I would suggest using the find follower feature to find a scavenger as early as you can, it triples the resources you get from missions so everytime a 60 resource mission pops up (5 times a day ish) you get 180 instead :)
Tbh you can also get those items to gear up your followers from de salvage building (lvl2 i get a lot of those tokens) or just follower missions. So i kinda have to agree that it's useless unless you really want that token. My opinion ofcourse.
The war mill has given me nothing but a single Iron horde scrap for ~3days worth of work orders. Not a chance I'm wasting any more resources on it. As for the salvage yard, I was getting significantly more follower upgrades at level 2 than I al at level 3. A load of shitty low level greens and an occasional piece of the create-character transmog gear seems an odd trade for fewer upgrade pieces.
The War Mill is far less reliable than the Salvage Yard and it eats up a large plot. That said if you're drowning in resources (and some of my guildies already are seeing as they lucked into half a dozen Scavengers who can bring back several hundred to 1000+ resources from a single mission) it's an extra chance. But if you're just scraping by on resources then 20 a pop for a chance at a token is a worse deal than the passive income from the Salvage Yard.
The Inn doesn't increase your Follower cap, the Barracks does. As for Dwarven Bunker/War Mill, I use that with the Lumber Mill. Not only do you get enough resources to actually run the Bunker/Mill, you get two more buildings doing Work Orders, which has a chance to give you Apexis Crystals. That combined with a little bit of Pit farming has gotten me lots of them very quickly.
This is the first GR video since launch that really propels me towards using my followers more efficient! Regardless of if I have the time or not, saving time is the most important thing for me. That' why being hardcore is a lifestyle. Btw, if anyone knows of other hardcore wow-tubers lemme know. I miss Kripp and currently this is the only channel giving my HC fix. Others fall off or just aren't HC enuff.
another thing about follower gear, dont spend one that upgrades their gear to 615 or 630 on followers you've already partially upgraded, it will waste those previous upgrades
I myself am wondering if I should drop engineering or alchemy to take up gathering for the one I keep. The 2 hour duration for flasks from Alchemy seems to still be in the game.
I was surprised when there was no mention of proffesion traits taking up actual useful traits. I tend to highly prioritize followers without proffesion traits (as long as theyre not epic)
Preach, what about the people working in the mine and herb areas? Would it be a good idea to level them up too or keep them in there areas since those are on times (well mine is)
Preach, I know you are growing and a lot of people are saying that your stuff is too "min-max," but I think that they don't understand that some people actually have more fun doing it that way. I really enjoy your suggestions and the way that you give helpful information/tips for those interested in getting the most out of the game. To me, people who suggest you play the game in a different way because they do not understand that you, and a lot of others, enjoy this sort of gaming have no ability to think, "Oh, different people like to enjoy the game this way. This might actually be the way they have the most fun with the game." Keep making the content the way you want it and leave the naysayers in LFRs and normals :P
I can't really decide what buildings i want. I have the war mill i plan on getting to level 3 for the free seal each week but i can't really see what else I'd want or need. I have a blacksmith for crafting a random Boe to sell, same on my alt hunter but the value is going to go down fast once high maul is out.
A tip for you guys, there's an addon called Master Plan that does a lot of the work for you. A true time saver when it comes to followers and their missions
You got it wrong with the Abrogator Stone missions, there is no ilvl req for those, you just need the quest. I don't have any followers over ilvl 640, but like 10 between 630-639, and i've done 2 of them (sitting at 8 stones atm)
You should aswell mention the bodyguard perks - i think that the best bodyguard to level/farm rep with atm is Leorajh since he allows you to access your missions from outside your garrison, which is awesome! // basically you have to kill honorable/exp yielding mobs and you get 10 reputation with your follower for each kill - i believe there are 3 reputation stages and each of them unlocks one special ability - spells at first and a special perk when you get reputation capped (mission access for Leorajh, then there is the ability to summon a party member, to access your bank/mailbox and others)... just fyi :) great vid
If you're just starting out, while still low level, get a warmill ASAP (even if you have to replace your barracks). Most followers (excluding the ones you buy) are considered quest rewards and benefit from the increased quality proc chance.
I personal recomend geting salvage yard, i have 2 folowers 640 and 5 others above 615 and they are geard pretty fast considering that i wanna gear 21 followers
WOW! You know how much it costs to upgrade to WoD in Russia (just found it out while checking the shop)? RUR 899.- It's $18.8! And I'm playing on US! Dammit!!!
Preach Iv Watched You for a very VERY long time and your awesome Helped me Learn to play and now im raiding Norm and heroic Thanks to you. But I need to ask. I have a Stables and barracks. Should i replace with warmill for Follower Ilvl and Gear Bonus things?
I am wondering if the bodyguard trait any usefull, i mean does it really help you during questing and doing daily stuff or totally not worth it ? Also i read a lot of bad things about barn, that it is hard to hunt those animals aka pain in a s s. Thanks for quick reply and cheers.
should have mentioned the addon that shows what type of followers you have and what they counter so you don't have to go through and look manually. Addon is "Master Plan" Btw for people who are interested (and you should be this addon is amazing and a must have)
I know how you feel man, the Alliance Garrison, to me at least, just looks so much better. Combine with it being in Shadowmoon Valley just fits so well with it.
Preacher! I'm confused!?!? I did what you said. Logged in today. All my resources were ready to collect. Went into my town hall first and assigned a lvl 100 follower to my mine. Went and collected my resources and got about the same amount of stuff as usual. What am I not getting here?
My Dwarven Bunker's bonus to Quest and drop upgrades has served me pretty damn well. Worth the investment for me personally. Lots of awesome upgrades, like my 635 Mace I got back at 99. So good :)
I don't see any reason to keep a gathering profession (mining and herbalism at least) because the materials are so easy to come by for the daily cooldowns and workorders.
dig all your bro every cool thx .. so question so if i have a alchemy enchanting building i can enchant my other charter stuff baciclly can help my aothere charter with building help each another charter out ? and what would be a good Combtion of there different gerrison that can work together for maximizing game play? thx agine really dig the vids watch all time ..
I got an Abrogator Stone quest without having a 640 follower. I think having 640 on a follower only increases your chance, rather than giving you one entirely.
traven, slavage yard, tanner, bank, stables (till I got mounts then replacing with war mill) lumber mill (at lest till all my building at lvl3 and I have couple of 2k resource spare then prob go with barn for savage blood farming) my plan atm see how it works out in long run....also mister preach I hear if you push your followers up past 340 you can get mission that give higher than 345 gear
One of the things i'm doing with alts (I work from home, retarded amounts of spare time so, no issue for me personally, take from this what you will) is taking advantage of easy to aquire mats to then benefit other characters. I have no real need to go out farming ore, I powered engineering for my goggles using around 300-400 of each ore, 2 days later I have over 1000 of both just from the mine on a few characters; I think I have 2 lvl 3 mines and 5 at lvl 2. That's one example. I'm currently struggling to get Draenic Dust for some reason, serious lack of green stuff to disenchant, so, I noticed I had 1700 resources on my Rogue just from grabbing the Cache every day, so I built a trading post and spent the rest of the resources on dust; she'll have plenty of resources by the time I lvl her to 100 so I didn't lose anything. I'll also be leveling with the lumber mill, as I have done on all my characters so far, replacing it once I got the resources out of it; it definitely pays for itself through the leveling process. The only real long term thing I have planned is to have as many barns as I can possibly afford for nothing more than Savage Bloods to upgrade gear; I was lucky with my goggles on my Monk being BiS for thier ilvl so it makes sense to take advantage of them. I also may as well try selling the extras.
Preach, maybe you don't know, but the War Mill/ Dwarven Bunker Cosmetic armor is BOA, so you can buy some of the better looking stuff like the Plate or Cloth armor for an alt. That way your resources aren't wasted on the shit leather armor.
depends the plate transmog is bad ass sadly its the only one lol also you can get the transmogs from the bunker and delete the bunker afterwards the transmogs are boa's same goes for the mount building thing get them all then delete it for something you do need
All I know is BUILD THE LUMBER MILL ASAP, as your first medium building. It can literally pay for itself with interest in about 30 minutes between the first quest giving you 50 resources back and tracking down a fallen log freeing Barov and getting him as a lvl 95 follower plus a quest from him to kill his brother for 100 more resources, plus you can gather timber while you lvl and have you mil producing tons of resources so you will have enough for what ever you need while leveling and when you get to max to get you buildings upgraded. its a fantastic investment early and will open up a lot of possibilities later on because you will have a lot of resources.
Anyone knows exactly how long missions stay up if you don't do them? It just sucks how they made it random to be epic...some of my alts just got lucky while my main only got a few epic followers...AND OMG BLOOK IS THE MOST OP FOLLOWER... EVEN GREEN YOU SHOULD LEVEL HIM!! HIS TRAIT IS UNIQUE AND OP!
I've had a level 100 rare for the last 2 daily resets. (I really don't want to lose it, 20K XP and 1000 apexis crystals but I only have 2 level 100 followers who can counter the abilities :( )
Preach you are leading people on the wrong path in a sense of you make this sound like a job and they should do the same, well not everybody has a career based on playing video games like you and most that play wow these days do so for strictly fun and to kill time and you make it sound like if they don't follow what you are doing they are doing it wrong. For the ones that want to min/max yes what you say is true but keep in mind this is for fun and sadly alot of times I think you have forgotten that yourself.
Balrog R. Clearly it isnt the best resource because he doesnt even mention the addons that do what he keeps going on about penicl and paper, so yea i guess if you want a good source of information about garrisons dont watch this video.
This comment seems very self-centered to me. He is informing raiders who want to maximize their garrisons not one hour a week people. This channel is not for those people.
If you've watched the rest of the videos on PG you'd realise this channel is about min-maxing EVERYTHING in WoW. This video is for people who are attempting to maximise their garrison usage. If you can't afford the time to maximise the usage of your garrison -- then don't. Pretty damn simple.
Here's how I'm making my setup: Large: Barracks, Dwarven Bunker Medium: Lunarfall Inn, Lumber Mill Small: Tannery, Scribe's Hut, Salvage Yard I'm gonna focus on upgrading the Lumber Yard to level 3 first so I can get a massive influx of resources and once I have everything at level 3, I'll scrap the Lumber Mill for the Barn for the Savage Bloods. As for small buildings, I'm going to get rid of the Scribe's Hut after I get my darkmoon card and the raid teams don't need any more and put in the Storage. As it stands right now, I can see room in the garrison for 2 more buildings, one small and one medium, which would fit the restrictions more than currently (2 big, 3 medium, 4 small) so I'm hoping maybe a patch down the line will bring the next Garrison Expansion to level 4 or maybe just allow you to purchase those extra areas as plots. However, this could also just be me hoping desperately to have an Inn, a Barn and a Trading Post in the same Garrison... :P
Have the same, but I already see what Preach mentioned. I have tons of resources. and they are growing rapidly each day. Especially if you have follower with Salvage ability (gives 200% resources). I will cancel lumber in some time and build Trade Post.
I see no point getting the LM to Lvl 3, there is no way to make the resource pop any quicker (Big mistake Blizz just sayin) and that means you need 60 lumber per day, which is a grand total of 6 medium tree's... if you can't find 6 medium trees per day then frankly you are doing it wrong. Now if they introduce a way to make followers speed up the resource pop (and oh my god do they need to do this) then you have an argument for getting it to level 3.
hammerhiem75 , not true, you get the follower with the trait that increases resources gained when you put him in the lumber mill. Thus, an increase in resource obtained.
It's takes a full week to break even, so the increase in resources is not a pay off for a fortnight, if you have 1 scavenger Follower you can get that from 1 mission. It is not worth it imo, unless you are using the trade function for other Mats, even then a scavenger follower would be far better.
My main didnt get one epic follower and only 1 rare while leveling.. my twink got 3 epics already at level 92 and I dont even want to play him that much...
Why is your hearthstone set to Ashran? Personally I think the place is fucking worthless, my Hearth is still set to the Shrine in Pandaria, which at least gives you access to all major cities (including Dalaran and Shattrath (outland)) Are there any perks about Ashran im missing here?
Yo Preach. Sad day when I went to your Twitch to see the WHOLE warlock leveling stream copyrighted. The whole damn thing. Was waiting for that for a while D:
Uncertain of this has been mentioned, but if you will be doing any highmaul week 1 do NOT raise any followers to 645 until after you've done a few bosses. When you hit 645 it will spawn a follower mission to give you a piece of highmaul gear one difficulty higher than what you're working on. This is snapshotted when the mission SPAWNS! Not when it's completed. So do not level followers to 645 and spawn the mission if you'll be doing heroic week 1! You'll get normal gear instead of mythic!
check the 'master plan' addon on curse (check site, it's not on the client atm). It really does make the follower managing and deciding which missions to do first a lot easier. i've been making sure my followers were going all the time sicne day one, got so much gear to give them, but i just have such bad rng with traits. out of my 21 followers only one is worth gearing (i'm praying hell get a good one when he get epic, almost there), but all others are just simply shit. i have 16 followers with professions, including my croman, leeroy, millhouse and ziri'ak...
I very much disagree that keeping a crafting profession and a corresponding gathering profession gives a big advantage. The limiting factor for all the crafting professions is how many of the special reagents (burnished leather, gearspring parts, etc.) you can make, and most professions can easily cap out their building's production and their daily cooldown off the resources from the garrison buildings. This is especially true of the metalworking professions; I have stacks and stacks of ore piling up in my reagent bank because I can mine it at my garrison so much faster than my engineering cds and building can use it. Leatherworking is trickier because, while my barn can supply enough leather to keep my LW cds and work orders moving, I don't have much slack to allow for meat and (once I get lvl 3) savage blood orders. I don't have any firsthand experience with the herb-based crafting professions, but I would assume it's the same there. WoD has, imo, largely made gathering professions obsolete. They no longer provide any combat bonuses, and the garrison buildings seem to be more than enough to keep the crafting professions moving.
Im the luckiest dude. Got to lvl 100 and I have I think 5-6 rare followers and the rest are uncommon. Not a single epic follower from an upgrade AND I have the war mill. Only epics available for me now are the ones you get from doing chievs and quests in the Inn. I am SO stoked to spend months and months toiling to have at least one epic follower who is efficient.
Me too, had shitty luck, 0 epics. but it's not that bad, I grinded one to epic already and have a couple more close behind, the epic mount trait really helps (halves mission time) and extra training (35% more xp) Goodluck grinding those epics
Am I the only one who hates everything about the garrison? Especially how the whole game revolves around it and we are always alone except for in a crowded city with other players? Missions, mining, dailies, upgrading the garrison... everything feels like a fucking browser game. I don't want to play a browser game and I don't wanna occupy myself with the browser game in order to make my character perfect for the game out of the garrison.
Ugh. Preach, I'm a PvP'er. I despise leveling. Trying to get professions up for me is a chore, as is amassing gold. Are the benefits of leveling a garrison going to be tangible for PvP? I moved to another server, so I'm still leveling to 90; I haven't touched any new content or the garrisons yet. Because looking at what you're describing, I don't know what I would do if garrisons were important to gearing for PvP. I mean, I'd probably suck it up and level a garrison, but that would take me from my plan of having 2-4 level 100s to just one level 100 for the duration of the expansion, because much like leveling First Aid and Engineering over and over for Arenas, leveling garrisons mostly looks like it would constitute a required chore rather than an enjoyable use of time. If anything, it looks _far worse_ than leveling a profession, which at least can be bought with sheer quantities of gold and farming.
A lot of people share that opinion. I personally believe that so far, it is the best. And don't bring up the launch issue cause that was short-lived and its over now
I didnt play the game at launch i waited 4 days before i played because i knew some problems would arise. Im not geting into a youtube comment debate as everyone has their opinions but my biggest flaw is that we arent even 3 weeks into the expansion and ive already outgeared the heroics to the point i can pull trash without CC, do boss fights without tactics and "challenge modes" Ive already got the Yeti and am almost fully done with gold modes...
It's hilarious to see people call WoD the best expansion ever when PvP season didn't start yet, raids aren't out yet, we have no idea what patch cycle will be like, how long the last tier will last, how big the stat inflation will be, etc. If they're still calling it the best thing ever after they've been idling in their garrison for a year then it will be pretty safe to trust their opinion, until then, consider it enthusiasm due to fresh content.
I disagree, the warmill/dwarven bunker is amazing as you can give it 20 garrison resources and it gives you gear for your followers. Because of this i thought it was so worth it
You don't need pen and paper ! There are Addons like "Master Plan" and "Garrison Mission Manager" which will make your life so much easier. Thanks for suggesting the addons, they work great!
palaios2 Master plan just gives a list of completed missions, and it does the list one by one. Meaning no animations either
Master Plan is the best!
I've only noticed one flaw with master plan, namely that it is sending lvl 100 epic followers on xp missions. Does it do this for salvage?
Great guide! Didn't realize I could pull the followers out of the buildings after collecting reagents to do more missions with. Improved my garrison a lot!
Thank you Preach. finally a no nonsense no bullshit garrison guide for people who want to min max it. If only I had a guide this intuitive a week or so before WoD dropped i would be in a much better spot.

Can we get a video explaining the buildings and benefits from each? Also something on Outposts?
Kinda figured most of this for myself, but its really useful to know that you only need to assign followers to buildings before you collect work orders
Attention Team Transmog: the level 3 Salvage Yard has a chance to drop the class gear from the character creation screen.
My advice for follower ilvl upgrades is for each one to pick either armor or weapons to focus on and ignore the other one temporarily. The reason for this is that eventually you'll get items that instead of adding 3/6/9 ilvls just flat out give you a 615/630/645 rating in that slot. It's actually ilevel 630 that unlocks the missions with 645 gear.
The missions go in stages, 100, 115, 130 and will be unlocked once you have 1 follower with that ievel(despite needing 3 to complete the mission)
So It's best to raise at least 3 followers evenly
Lv100 missions give 115 gear , lv115 missions give 130 gear and lv130 give 145
Some secondary traits are really awesome, scavenger, and epic mount as well as the one that boosts xp are a must have

Totally didn't know about the follow double resources mechanics mentioned around 1:40, sweet!

That's the only ones I know off the top of my head.
I love the enchant transmog, but I wish I didn't have to have the building for it to use it.
"Absolute shit, I hope it dies" lol best line ever
Lots of good tips especially about workers in buildings
Thanks for the awesome video Preach. You answered the question of follower level effecting the chance for doubled resources, I just wanted to know if iLvl also effect this. Thanks
Preach, you can do work orders at War Mill level 2 & get follower upgrades...its actually really good even before level 3.
mission commander (addon) lets you select the best possible team composition for each mission. A must get in my opinion.
*Garrison Mission Commander
Weird that you would say the dwarven bunker/whatever it's called for horde is useless outside of the weekly token, you didn't really touch on gearing your followers ilvl up to get raid drops weekly/bi weekly and the dwarven bunker is giving me 6 armor/weapon upgrades daily for my followers I'm currently at 23/25 all over 630 ilvl from the bunker and scrap yard.

excuse me, can anyone tell me what addon is he using (the one for his healthbars)
A big tip is to get the addon Master Plan, helps a ton with missions!

I was surprised when there was no mention of proffesion traits taking up actual useful traits. I tend to highly prioritize followers without proffesion traits (as long as theyre not epic)
preach when will you start doing class guides?
Level 2 War Mill has work orders for Follower weapons and armor.
I can't really decide what buildings i want. I have the war mill i plan on getting to level 3 for the free seal each week but i can't really see what else I'd want or need. I have a blacksmith for crafting a random Boe to sell, same on my alt hunter but the value is going to go down fast once high maul is out.
Preach! Love your vids mate; I really enjoy them. So I never saw, what class did you end up picking for your main for WOD? Thanks.
When are we going to get a download link for the UI?
Thanks for vids. What are the daggers you have and where do you get them?
A tip for you guys, there's an addon called Master Plan that does a lot of the work for you. A true time saver when it comes to followers and their missions
Around 1:23 is he talking about player level or follower level?
Follower level
Should i replace with warmill for Follower Ilvl and Gear Bonus things?
you can get follower upgrades from the warmill
I am wondering if the bodyguard trait any usefull, i mean does it really help you during questing and doing daily stuff or totally not worth it ? Also i read a lot of bad things about barn, that it is hard to hunt those animals aka pain in a s s. Thanks for quick reply and cheers.
should have mentioned the addon that shows what type of followers you have and what they counter so you don't have to go through and look manually. Addon is "Master Plan" Btw for people who are interested (and you should be this addon is amazing and a must have)
i am really debating on re rolling alliance just for the lay out of the garrison
Why is the cape on for your rogue?
Could anyone tell me what addon he's using for his unit frames? Thanks.
Can you have weapon ilvl at 650 and armor at 630 to get the average 640 , or do you have to get the armor above 640 aswell to get the better misisons?
how do you get followers leveled so fast? i have been having a hard time with that
My Dwarven Bunker's bonus to Quest and drop upgrades has served me pretty damn well. Worth the investment for me personally. Lots of awesome upgrades, like my 635 Mace I got back at 99. So good :)
thx this was actually useful and answered some questions I had
I'm wondering about the salvage yard. Does it only give low item level epics? Or will it be upgrading as the tiers go on?
Level 3 yard has a small chance of yielding il665 epics at current moment.
So I'm assuming when they add more levels to buildings they will also increase the ilvl gains on items?
Alexander Ulvnas possibly
Omg love ur accent I could listen to u all day....
Preach, maybe you don't know, but the War Mill/ Dwarven Bunker Cosmetic armor is BOA, so you can buy some of the better looking stuff like the Plate or Cloth armor for an alt. That way your resources aren't wasted on the shit leather armor.
So rogue is your main now?
I feel the pain of your guildie that lost 645 gear mission. I waited to long for my neck and it disappeared.
Please upload your streams of leveling, I would watch that.
Just watch the twitch vods, guy.
Twitch is broken at work tho -_- and if on RUclips he can get them RUclips money.
And I am not a guy ;-;
Tough luck, sport!
xotrog Twitch muted the sound do to copy right infringement or something
depends the plate transmog is bad ass sadly its the only one lol
also you can get the transmogs from the bunker and delete the bunker afterwards the transmogs are boa's same goes for the mount building thing get them all then delete it for something you do need
Crafted gear is going for 45k a piece on my server. I'm not even going to equip mine. Straight into the AH it goes!
Lol 640 stuff sells for less then 10 k on my server, totally not worth selling
you said that war mill is useless until 3, but that is not true. It is very important that you use it to make follower gear at lvl 2.
Lost 645 weapon after 2 days time exactly... 630 mission also.
Is the Mage Tower completely useless? Lol. Nobody seems to be picking it up...
man preach im sure you know and people have told you but there are some really good garrison addons to ditch the pen and paper out
Preach you say that the Dwarven Bunker ain't worth anything except for the loot roll. But the work order transforms resources into follower gear.
HIS TRAIT IS UNIQUE AND OP!
i believe is like 1 day or 2
I've had a level 100 rare for the last 2 daily resets.
SegwayJesus
And the fanboys raise their flags and ready for battle...
*****
Maybe you shouldnt try so hard to sound like preach... be original kid.
If you've watched the rest of the videos on PG you'd realise this channel is about min-maxing EVERYTHING in WoW.
This video is for people who are attempting to maximise their garrison usage. If you can't afford the time to maximise the usage of your garrison -- then don't. Pretty damn simple.
I have two followers who are 630+ but I'm not getting any missions that are for them, just 615 missions. Any advice?
They take about 24 hours to click over, i had 5 at 630 and it was around a day befor i got my first 630+ missions now im getting about 2-3 aday
Here's how I'm making my setup:
Large: Barracks, Dwarven Bunker
Medium: Lunarfall Inn, Lumber Mill
Small: Tannery, Scribe's Hut, Salvage Yard
I'm gonna focus on upgrading the Lumber Yard to level 3 first so I can get a massive influx of resources and once I have everything at level 3, I'll scrap the Lumber Mill for the Barn for the Savage Bloods.
Personally I think the place is fucking worthless, my Hearth is still set to the Shrine in Pandaria, which at least gives you access to all major cities (including Dalaran and Shattrath (outland))
Are there any perks about Ashran im missing here?
The fact that it's not the shrine is all the perks it needs.
Yes, the shrine sucks and it's the most unimaginative city/cities in wow but it's still more useful then ashran.
I just use Dalaran these days.
Yes bu- CITIZEN OF DALARAN...!
Yo Preach. Sad day when I went to your Twitch to see the WHOLE warlock leveling stream copyrighted. The whole damn thing. Was waiting for that for a while D:
I have zero interest in followers, am I going to be hindered because of it?
The information.....yes!
Preach, You say the transmog gear looks shit. I disagree.
Have you seen an orc with the plate transmog? It looks friggin amazing.
Goldmane got an epic upgrade for me, wooo
How was your dinner Mike?
Uncertain of this has been mentioned, but if you will be doing any highmaul week 1 do NOT raise any followers to 645 until after you've done a few bosses. When you hit 645 it will spawn a follower mission to give you a piece of highmaul gear one difficulty higher than what you're working on. This is snapshotted when the mission SPAWNS! Not when it's completed. So do not level followers to 645 and spawn the mission if you'll be doing heroic week 1! You'll get normal gear instead of mythic!
Instead of deactivating followers, why not just keep those in the buildings?
Garrison Mission Manager addon -- no paper/team building required.
Why arent you using War Mill work orders? It has a chance of giving you gear for followers :)
check the 'master plan' addon on curse (check site, it's not on the client atm).
They no longer provide any combat bonuses, and the garrison buildings seem to be more than enough to keep the crafting professions moving.
increase brightness before rendering! the video is too dark!!
Me too, had shitty luck, 0 epics. but it's not that bad, I grinded one to epic already and have a couple more close behind, the epic mount trait really helps (halves mission time) and extra training (35% more xp)
Goodluck grinding those epics
Is rly WOD considered the best?
Am I the only one who hates everything about the garrison?
Especially how the whole game revolves around it and we are always alone except for in a crowded city with other players?
Missions, mining, dailies, upgrading the garrison... everything feels like a fucking browser game.
I don't want to play a browser game and I don't wanna occupy myself with the browser game in order to make my character perfect for the game out of the garrison.
Fully agree.
At least they should make direct portals to main cities so its easier to get there
Norbi77 They've got the portals to SS and WS.
its the same psychological addictive fuckery as facebook games
''The whole game revolves around it'' You could just ignore it and play like you want to... not like they force you to do it
If anything, it looks _far worse_ than leveling a profession, which at least can be bought with sheer quantities of gold and farming.
i got 7 epic mount traits, its not even work to get green to purple if u get 100 xp quests few times in a row :P
"Expansion considered to be best so far" what a wild over statement, its good but its list of flaws are HUGE
A lot of people share that opinion. I personally believe that so far, it is the best.
And don't bring up the launch issue cause that was short-lived and its over now
Like every other expansion. This one has the least amount of flaws.
Looted my first 645 item from a mission today :D
I disagree, the warmill/dwarven bunker is amazing as you can give it 20 garrison resources and it gives you gear for your followers. Because of this i thought it was so worth it
If you are horde...
Treasure your dispellers. They seem so rare.
