Then add water, chillies, salt, tomato n dried pork chops n set on fire to cook. Later mash all potatoes, chillies, tomatoes n add to the curry. Roast Sichuan pepper 4-5pcs n grind to add to the curry. Can add basil leaves too. Finally add coriander leaves few mins before removing from the fire.

I know taro. They live freely in my country, Indonesia. Taro chips are very delicious even without any seasoning. Well, we don't usually eat the leaves, but it can be used for some specieses of pond fish's food.
In middle java and east the leaves are eaten as buntil. It's my favourite vegetable!

Not only in japa, in my country Indonesia, we plant sooo many taro.
Boiled then peel and dip in soy sauce. Easy and taste great. You know they are fresh if they have a slimy texture, those are the best tasting. But if they are old they taste like a dry potato.

They are using very hard way ..in India , Telangana ,rangareddy, naganpally ...we use shortcut...less man power and less cost more profit.....
In the US, we call them Elephant Ears and we use them for tropical landscaping.
It's different to the Elephant ear plant. Have a closer look, the Elephant ear can't be eaten. Their leaves are quite similar but however they can be differentiated.
What a waste they only harvest the tubers. The leaves and stalks are perfect edible and is probably more prized in SouthEast Asia than the tubers. They make a delicious dish made from the leaves. They shred it then put some cubes of pork or chicken then wrap it in a large Taro leaves. Boiled and simmered in coconut milk, chili, lemongrass, garlic, shallots, ginger, and shrimp paste or fish sauce. It is so delicious and you won't know how delicious until you try it.
Correct!!
The Portuguese Islanders grow and eat those too. I love them thing's.

Correction. The "toxin" it contains is found in many foods such as spinach, nuts and raspberries and is called "oxalate, which is neutralized with 10-15 minutes of boiling. Sally Norton wrote a book about oxalates and how they affect people. Lots of foods have oxalates. It's the amount that matters.
Thank you for the video. It is very informative. Where can I buy the machines used in this video?
