Kind of but from what I’ve seen an invisible decrease is when you go through the front loop of one stitch and the back loop of the next. You do your single crochet as if you just went through one stitch

Is this the same as a decrease?

I've seen somewhere that they begin each new sc by inserting into the last stitch created and not the next one. I was wondering why they did that? Is it to make the work more tight and thick?
