    It’s not former Yugoslavia. In 1986 it was Yugoslavia.

      Kamandi right, to be precise this area in particular was former Italy.

    How badly was this place damaged in the war?

      Fortunately, this city was never attacked during the war, since it doesn't border Serbia or Bosnia and has insignificant Serb population. However, it took a lot of refugees from other Croatian towns and villages.

      It was damaged a lot in ww2 allied bombings

      It was severely damaged in WW1 as it was an Austrian military port

      @@edmonddantes3661 Actually Istra which region is where Pula and Rovinj are was only in non Serb majority Croatia that wanted to stay in Yugoslavia and HDZ which rule Croatia since 1990 never won elections in Istria ,like in Rovinj HDZ has only one seat in parliament and never any nationalist party can ground there
