    This tram service only increase passenger carrying capacity compared to bus services. It is not running on segregated track. Hence, subject to road traffic conditions.

      JB needs a MRT or LRT system, even if u run ART on a 5min frequency, thats 3600 ppd, Kelana jaya Line does 30000, even the 4 station sentosa monorail does 4000

    Why do you call it _"tram"_ if it's just a bus by all means? This is not even a trolleybus, but just a bus as what it is. A trolleybus is the second cost efficient type of public transport after tramway and it's way superior to all that battery hybrid electric BS promoted as a kind of a _"breakthrough"_ .

      @@themann9801No doubt it can be subsidised BUT Public Transport must give priority first to those in need. Do Putrajaya really need a Tram service for a small population staying in a huge land?? A simple Bus service can cater for putrajaya Folks that are mostly governent servants. I trust its pure waste of money.

  • @seananlinjunxi868
    @seananlinjunxi868 7 месяцев назад +15

    This form of transit is honestly quite stupid. This is literally just a glorified electric bus that is confined to a track and limited to the range of a battery. The entire point of a conventional tram is to reduce friction by using steel wheels on steel tracks to be more energy efficient. This ART defeats the entire purpose of having a tram as it uses rubber tires on road surface, being a lot more inefficient. A trolley bus or an actual tram would have been a better solution as they are not limited to the amount of power a battery has. This ART system is just an impractical gadgetbahn meant to seek attention from the rest of the world. The worst part is that Putrajaya is not even making the automated tracks and is still relying on manual driving of these ART vehicles, which defeats the entire purpose in the first place.

    • @rieqgreg2138
      @rieqgreg2138 7 месяцев назад

      Art uses hydrogen actually it can drive as far as 450 kilometres without refuelling/charging literally the same as normal petrol bus (435 kilometres) plus ART is literally cheaper and idk about putra jaya but johor and sarawak literally made a specialises road that no car can enter with a charger capability with every stop. Plus this thing is economically cheaper than lrt/mrt/tramp and etc

    • @seananlinjunxi868
      @seananlinjunxi868 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@rieqgreg2138 as it currently stands, hydrogen fuel is still really expensive. It may currently be cheaper without having to build proper infrastructure for these vehicles but thats not the case for running these long term. Charging with batteries is also relatively inefficient and time consuming relative to running on direct power. A battery may lose 10-50% of the inputted charge before outputting, making the electricity go to waste.

    • @rieqgreg2138
      @rieqgreg2138 7 месяцев назад

      @seananlinjunxi868 what? In the future it is gonna be cost efficient since this is a hybrid of both battery and hydrogen fuel cell it means it will never stop running. Plus hydrogen has drastically going down in price and it is said that hydrogen would be cheaper than any alternative source of fuel according to The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). So for the future it is better plus no johor and sarawak are building new infrastructure for these ART with even a highway specifically for it and those infrastructure is cheaper than tram, mrt or lrt since it doesn't need railway just normal road to work which cost lot less to build compare to railways build and for lrt and mrt it needed a lot of electricity for the railway to work efficiently which is worse for energy consumption.

    • @seananlinjunxi868
      @seananlinjunxi868 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@rieqgreg2138 you do realise that railways last way longer than roads and are far cheaper to maintain right. You yapping and spouting out random bullshit excuses is not gonna help you defend your point. The ART is the one that consumes way more electricity due to the fact it needs to carry its own batteries and the friction caused by rubber tires. Basic physics would prove what I said unlike whatever physics defying bullshit you just made up lol.

    • @seananlinjunxi868
      @seananlinjunxi868 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@rieqgreg2138 and as for the price of hydrogen we shall see if it actually decreases or if you’re a load of crap. Till then my point still stands.

    With the money spend on the Tram, rather pay Human Drivers that now in need of steady jobs in Malaysia. Why not buy cheaper EV or Hydrogen Bus and employ Drivers to drive the Bus.. We no need Driverless Vehicle to move around. Rather greet a smiling Driver when entering and exiting the bus. 😅😅😅😅
