As a lifelong canucks fan, i wouldn't be hurt to see Miller be traded.... why keep 1 good player that brings the rest of the team down when he's around...
IDK we're really happy with PLD in Washington for now. You might have a huge hateboner for him, but we're gonna treat him as having a clean slate with us and let him focus on his game. Yes we know his background but if you punish someone for things they arent allowed to atone for, then there's no point in trying to be better behaved in the first place. He does seem like he's fitting in really well under Spencer Carbury and with the Caps players. Why? A few ideas. The male brain does not stop its personality maturation until 25 years old. It seems like the gravity of his situation and the maturity kicked in at the right time(26 years old), and hopefully he can keep that professionalism up. Also having the greatest goal scorer in NHL history to force you to keep your ego in check is an effective humbling tool as well. I really hope this doesnt age poorly, just because its been nice to see his redemption story. I dont care about being wrong myself, but I want him to do well.
Brain development? Maybe smarting up but not core self. He doesn't give a shit about others that will never change. When your winning its all good, losing is a different story. Plus it's exhausting for the rest of the team having to deal with it. It will get to a point where it comes crashing down
Patrick Laine also has this reputation. As a Habs fan I’m glad things are going’s well for him right now, but it may just be a matter of time for him to start hating Montreal and want out. Only time will tell how story ends up.
Right now, there is no end goal in sight with JT Miller. Will he stay? Will he leave? What pisses me off about this is that his 2x assists in last night's game is proof that he can really be good, but has just spent too much time misplacing his emotions. People say the Canucks need a player like him that has that mindset, but so far it hasn't really worked. In particular not with the top paid player on the team. I just don't know what to think right now about this team, and how management cannot seem to get a hold of it. If I were asked would I want to keep him, I wouldn't answer. I'd just leave it in fate's hands at this stage.
I think they will keep him until the trade deadline, he will be more valuable around then. Teams will be more desperate to make last minute trades to pick up a good player like Miller. I’d like to see the Canucks get a 2 for 1, or package deal. They need a young forward and a good Dman for Miller.
Really showing that penguins bias huh 😂 PLD is crushing it in Washington you should know after how he played in the 4-1 stomping, in post game locker room talks he's always engaged the boys look happy to be around him and he looks happy to be there.
Why does Spiller need to be on Patterson anyway? Petey is a better hockey player and more valuable to the team. He puts in the work. Spiller is like if Babcock was a player.
It's tough, I'm a 39 year old Millennial with a 17 year old Gen Z half-brother. I get the generational divide. I really do, if my half-brother was spinning tires like Pettersson and feeling he should be coddled with warmth and huggies, I'd be just like Miller to him. You're a Millennial too, right Alyssa? You know how we work hard having to make it on our own accord.
You know what makes someone look like a soft, whiny, snowflake? Claiming that being a right wing tool somehow makes you a martyr in sports. Funny how that in less than 5 years that side of the political aisle became the wussy crybabies.
The more stories I hear about miller, the less I think he is a problem, and the more I think he is just very passionate and demands the best of those around him. It sounds more like everyone is too soft and doesn't like to be held accountable. It would be frustrating to be playing with self-centered spoiled teammates. Things aren't always going to go smoothly, so someone needs to push the young kids and get them used to working under pressure.
To be fair, you can just tell he is egotistical and a “cancer” by the way he responds to the media and in interviews. On top of all that, he’s always had that stigma of being a locker cancer. I get that he’s passionate about hockey and loves the game, but he just doesn’t like a pleasant person to be around.
The last part of this was literally about how when he gets frustrated he just gives up on the ice. Abandoning the game and your teammates because of your feelings, regardless of what causes them, makes him a hypocrite for "demanding the best of those around him," soft, someone who needs to be held accountable, self-centered, and someone who needs to be pushed to get used to working under pressure. He may be talented, intense, and great under pressure in a lot of ways but if he can't give the game 100% even when things aren't going well then he's not as driven and passionate as you think he is. Also, if you can't acknowledge that different players respond well to different things and adjust to that without calling them soft, you're the wrong kind of guy to be a leader in a team sport with such different styles and personalities. The kind of guy you mean when you say they're too soft and need to be held accountable is the kind of young guy who can both score 100 (which Miller is) and is the future of the game (which Miller isn't). If he's dragging down younger, more talented players and messing with team chemistry, then get him out of there now before he does any more damage because he's too self-absorbed to understand the concept of people being different
@@rxhxjx yeah, I guess the younger kids need their hands held and their feelings validated. Definitely shouldn't prepare them for.the real world. They should always expect that they are going to get their own way wherever they go. Lol.
"someone needs to push the young kids and get them used to working under pressure" Yes, those people are: The coach, the assistant coach, the trainers, the cognitive processing team and anyone with a basic shred of emotional intelligence. AKA not Miller. Nobody is going to respond well when the guy who "demands the best out of those around him" sandbags and stop playing when he has a bad game. Leadership is respected out of players who lead the group out of hard times by example, support their teammates and provide a positive example. Miller doesnt do any of those, he just plays well sometimes, usually when things are going well already.
K Miller is not a locker room cancer. If anyone should go it it petterson. Miller is just an intense player who doesnt really like petterson because he is playing way below his aav. Everytime someone calls him a locker room cancer it pisses me off.
Okay we'll avoid the word then. Miller is good for the team when things start going his way but he makes it harder for the coaches to work with young players who are more cerebral and less emotional, since he's always trying to tilt someone. One part you completely missed out on: Its not Millers job to "like" Petterson's play. It's JT Miller's job to play hockey for millions of dollars a year and to do whatever he can to make his linemates more successful. Dragging people outside of his line down with harsh, unproductive criticism is not something they want to pay him to do. The shaping of Petterson's play is for the coaches and trainers to do. Miller is paid to play hockey, not to make everyone around him have a worse experience. Constant negativity with no means of gaining recognition or positive acumen when you do really well creates a carcinogenic environment. Cups are won by having top to bottom depth and you cant have one of your top scorers making the middle 6 worse by riding them and making them resent him. No wonder he wants to go to the Rangers, he's already perfectly following Chris Drury's playbook. So he's a uhh.... locker room RNA degeneration that causes uncontrolled cell growth that can spread if not contained. Is that better?
@@Vdoom777I can agree that peterson is better than miller but miller has more grit and is a heart and soul guy. I would much rather have miller on my team than petterson. Miller is so much more reliable and tougher. If Miller does get traded to a contender that team has a good chance at winning the cup.
@ZachPenner nah, Miller is a false prophet. He exudes arrogance and does things only to inflate his ego. He doesn't need to attack Pet. Pet puts up over 100 points easy when left alone and is a Swede, so you know he is a responsible player. The dude just wants to be a big man on campus and walk around like a fancy lad that said something mean to somebody for their own benefit.

As a longtime canucks fan. take your stupid ass opinion and shove it up your and alyssa's asses.
You have some hardcore opinions … but I like them and I’m thankful for your videos … please keep them coming and thank you
The Miller-EP40 feud has been far from the only issue the Canucks have had this season, with limited depth scoring and a poor-quality blueline, too.
The Canucks should have kept Horvat instead of extending JT.
Guess who's back? Tony's back.

He’s debatably our best player love watching him every night
He also seems to me as a person who needs everything explained to him, possibly due to neuro divergence? And carberry is excellent at man management
Oh just wait give it time he will definitely be on another team when he gets quits on your team

Pierre luc off the list. Best player on the best team in the league. Carbury gets the best outta players
Just wait till they lose a few in a row.
