Thank you! Yes, it's always a big step especially moving abroad, Elena. But what is the worst thing that can happen? You move back home. That's it. So you will definitely have a great time in Barcelona anyway I promise.
Such a great video for me in this situation where I’m considering wether to move permanently to Berlin o Barcelona (having lived in Berlin for 5 years) but not knowing much about Barcelona! I’m glad to see and feel your love for this city, makes me excited! Thank you
One of your best videos yet, Andy. I’ve enjoyed speciality coffee in both Berlin and Barcelona but didn’t realise how expensive it can be there. In Melbourne, Australia, speciality coffee shops are almost on every corner in the centre. And you’ll pay $4.5-5AUD for a flat white. That’s about $2.7-3.1EUR.
hello from Kyiv, Ukraine!!! thank you so much for all the work you do, I really love your videos. Thanks to them I fell in love with Barcelona and I'm already planning my trip there 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Andy Jamerson Danke! can’t wait! 🤩 Yeah, I saw them. it’s pretty cool to see that people from different countries/ cultures can meet and become friends! The world is big and yet so small 😌 they should convince you to visit Ukraine one day, we have lots of good coffee places - just FYI 😅
Hav been to both cities....i m from Nepal(south asia)...but both are my extremely most fav cities in this globe...i love both...its very hard to distinguise....1% more to....
Depende on the cities you have visited and for a long time. Maybe other cities of Spain and Germany. I’m planning on moving to other countries after graduation and Spain is an option (here are my options: Spain, Brazil, England, Italy, Argentina, USA, Germany, South Corea, Mexico and Japan). Choose any other city to be honest, I will enjoy it a lot and it would be helpful.
Just discovered your video's today, but it's always funny to me hearing Europeans housing statistics and what is considered expensive. The median rent price in my home city of Washington DC is 2,191.39 dollars, or about 1,964 euro's lmao xD
@@AndyJamerson I mean, not really when you look at how much we have to spend to live here xD considering rent, utilities, healthcare (which for an all encompassing healthcare plan can cost in excess of $600 a month.) etc, you may be lucky to keep half your paycheck. Also considering on average a person my age earns only 48k a year and that money goes very very very quickly lol.
Compare San Diego and Barcelona. I think of all the US cities, San Diego might come closest to matching Barcelona because they are similar size and have mountains and ocean/sea and similar year round weather. Salaries in San Diego are probably much higher than in Barcelona but now with so many jobs allowing remote work, maybe the San Dieagan's can move to a "relatively" much cheaper Barcelona yet keep their weather, geography, and get cheaper food/rent. :)
Andy, you should definetaly go to Morocco! Morocco is a country which is consistently beautiful from north to south with a very diverse landscape from hot desert to snowy mountains, green forests and nice beaches (not better than in Costa Brava in my opinion though. I live here in Palafrugell and work and study in Barcelona).
Morocco is indeed beautiful, however the constant scamming, stalking and thieves are the reason I will never go back there. However the food and landscape is insane, up until this day I still cook Tajine :)
Hi Andy, that’s my 2 cities in Europe, I love both of them. Is possible to live in Berlin without speaking German? Because I’m Brazilian and Portuguese x Spanish is very similar, I can understand a lot, but German is not similar not anything for me. Maybe some words in English (?). But sounds very hard to learn... 🤔
I wish my home country was more like Europe, the food here in Israel is too damn expensive, because of the shitty monopolies.. even a McDonalds meal here costs $20 even that there's a lot of poverty, food insecurity and beggars around here.. I hope one day things get better here.. it's a pretty sadistic country..
Berliner waren früher die offensten freundlichen Menschen. Leider hat die Regierung die Stadt runter gearbeitet was Kultur und Sicherheit angeht. Das ist der politische Einfluss durch die so genannte Amerika Brücke.
Going back to Barcelona next week. I am so excited! Travels are allowed within Europe btw 😉!
im moving to barcelona june 30!
Hey! I’m moving to Barcelona for uni and I’m finding your videos so helpful even though I am still nervous and worried about moving on my own 😬

There is a city in Ukraine called Odessa, which is a real pearl of a region and looks like Barcelona much. I think it is worth comparing!
Really! I had a friend who is from Odessa. I wanna travel Ukraine a lot! My two friends Erika and Maya are always showing me how beautiful Ukraine is.

NEITHER..BARCELONA OR BERLIN IS NOT THE BEST PLACE IN EUROPE.
I disagree 😜, but I understand your point of view.
barcelona and berlin are the best cities outside of paris and london
