The video includes three examples of doing this. We see it used with the AND, OR and also COUNTIF functions to achieve typical 'real world' tasks.

Hi Alan.. nice video and technique. Before seeing your final solution with COUNTIF, I got to thinking of other ways to set the CF without AND and OR. I came up with this: =SUMPRODUCT(--($B2:$E2>=100))=4 and =SUMPRODUCT(--($B2:$E2>=190))>0 for your first two. It could also be adapted for your COUNTIF example. Thanks to your great videos and classes, I can now think of multiple ways to solve these problems. Thanks and thumbs up!

Hi, I have a sheet where in column E there are no. of days present, i.e, 5 days and 2 days, and in column F is the frequency of a person coming to the office. If the number of days in col E is 5 days and the frequency is greater than or equal to 3 , then the cells in column F should turn green. If the frequency is less than 3 then the cell in col F should turn red.
Similarly for 2 days in column E, if the frequency is greater than or equal to 1 , then the cells in column F should turn green. If the frequency is less than 1 then the cell in col F should turn red.
    Please help!

Hi all. I m working for medical lab reporting system build in excel. I need to do conditional formatting for a cell containing test value based on following criteria.
    Conditions:
1> There is a cell where user enters Gender either Male or Female.
2> Normal range for a Male for a particular lab test is between 10 and 20.
3> Normal range for a Female for a particular lab test is between 15 and 25.
4> Depending on the Gender and related value, the cell value should be formatted.
5> Example 1: if gender is Male and cell value is between 10 and 20, its normal and no formatting else format the test value cell.
6> Example 2: if gender is Female and cell value is between 15 and 25, its normal and no formatting else format test value cell.
I m desperately waiting for helps.
