- It's time for another section hike on the beautiful Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin! I spend three nights on trail, backpacking eight different segments - Turtle Rock, Averill-Kelly Creek Wilderness, New Wood, Camp 27, Timberland Wilderness, Wood Lake, Rib Lake, and East Lake. In this first video, I begin at County Highway E and travel to a riverside campsite under the pines.
I like how you let us hear the sounds of the hike...the footsteps, rustling leaves, the breeze, and the running water. Better than any music you could ever ad, like all the other RUclipsrs do. Keep it just the way you're doing it.
Thank you! I will :) I love the sounds of the nature, and I figure that not all people like the same type of music, so it's easier to leave it off
Awesome. Love your videos. Blessings
Thank you so much!
Love Autumn. Leaves falling, shorter daylight hours, and crisp breezes. Doesn’t get much better.
I agree!
I love all the birch trees!
Me too!
Wow. Looks like an amazing set of trails. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
They are! Thanks!
Hi Flower 🌼 👋🏻 Thank you, always great to hear from you my friend 😊Hope you have a wonderful hike, looking forward to the rest of it! Stay safe and take care 🙏🏻 God Bless 🫶🏻 Appreciate you always!
Thank you! You too!
This looks gorgeous! I've always been so curious about the ice age trail because I haven't heard much about it but I always see it when I'm looking for camping/hiking spots near Chicago.
You should absolutely give it a try! :)
A beautiful hike! I'm in Toronto, and confined to home by illness. I really miss being out in "the bush." I was born in Northern Ontario, and Wisconsin has exactly the same rocks, trees, and flowers. I loved the blue salamander! Keep on trekkin'!
Sorry you're unable to hike right now. Yes, I do love the flora and fauna of our region!
@@loamseeker5230 especially chipmunks!

Hey sternum strap is to high it needs to be a bit lower.
Where are the glacial features
They are all over the terrain, but they aren't always obvious. Eskers, Moraines, Kettles, Drumlins, Outwash Plains...they can often just look like rolling topography
