Turning the Aircon on adds a little bit more load on the engine, therefore more load uses a little more gas.
Winding the windows down causes the car to be less aerodynamic, therefore creating a little bit more drag. Thus adding extra effort on the engine, causing more gas to consume.
So either way.. you’re using more gas.
