@@johndough7160 I wonder why they didn't say "parents made" or even "mothers made" since there are so many single mothers out there these days. What I see in that lyric is a throwback to silly machizmo.
dUg Pinnick is awesome. I met him many years ago when he was out on a tour with KIngs X, (96ish i think) Anyway he came into the music store i was teaching bass classes in. We had a program for underprivileged kids and he just popped in to browse some new basses we had in stock and it was cooler than cool when he found out what we were doing with the kids and sat in for a bit on one of my classes and we got to talk and jammed for a few minutes, He was so kind it blew the kids away and made me a life long fan of his. The world needs more good people like dUg in it............................ peace
This 58 yr old rockin female is NOT OFFENDED. Am jammin loud. Great song guys!!! R&R WILL NEVER DIE. I might just have to play this song at my funeral. What ya think? Lmao
These guys have always rocked excellent tune.. glad to hear you are all still at🤘 no Soy Boiz in this group. Make another and let Dug set fire to his bass!
I've known these guys for 25+ years. They are the hardest working band I've ever seen and they wear so many musical hats that it's amazing they found the time to make this incredible album. These songs echo the true sentiments of way more than one generation and I hope this goes totally viral. This album could well be the catalyst that brings the Hard Rockin' American Message back to the foreground.
Wow! KingsX were from Houston. My hometown. I used to see Doug at all the big shows. Walking through all tall with his mohawk hair and two handfuls of beers. He was always so nice and graceful to fans. He could play that lefthanded bass and sing like a beast. I miss those guys. God bless.😁👍
Canadians will love this s hit, get it out there , people need to hear this , I am buying the cd , Patriotic music needs to be supported , you have great day man.
Turning 60 next week, hard core patriot yankee that wishes the south would have won, like every other war they lied to us about, it’s when the Fed over took States rights. DUG seems to write a lot of songs with similar feelings, DUG is a true patriot!’
This is Great song. You can certainly hear George's style and rhythm in it. Love the riffs and chorus. Roxanne, I'll be looking for more of your music.
Thank you for the like. I've been a longtime huge fan of George Lynch and Don Dokken. My boyfriend of 10 years Hardy Irvin passed away 2018, also a fan of George. Hardy was an excellent drummer his mentor was (backup drummer for Journey). Hardy played drums with Marionette regularly in Phx. Mr. Scary was one of our favorites. I surprised Hardy one night, bought tickets to Lynch Mob at Club Red in Phx. I grew up around musicians, I listen to different genres. Love music...
Thank you Rat Pak Records for recognizing how talented this band is and thank you Roxanne for not giving up. This is long, long overdue and what these old ears of mine needed. Thirty years ago not many East coasters ever heard of Roxanne, but I did my best to enlighten as many folks as I could. And thirty years later, I'm gonna do it again. This is what rock music is and should be.
I saw Roxanne live about 20 years ago... backup band for the main act... might have been Blue Oyster Cult or Rush... or Heart... seriously the concerts were mad times and they just run together in my mind these days... lol
Are you kidding me? Only 267,747 views? Holy crap! The lyrics alone should have garnered at least 1 million! What an incredible song! Thanks Roxanne and dUg Pinnick and the awesomely incredible Mr. George Lynch for making a video that is true to the core of what it means to be a proud American! "Since when have we been so afraid, to be the men our fathers made?" Too true! Incredible!
Ah, Dug's voice at his age reminds me of a well-aged mellow wine! He can still scream his guts out, which is fantastic, but his lower register is where he shines these days!
I met Jamie (Singer of Roxanne) before one of their shows. He is a really cool guy. I think it is awesome that all 3 bands from this video have worked together on this video. I loved the first Roxanne cd from the 80s but never thought that I would see a video of Roxanne with members of Kings X and Dokken in the same video. Very cool.
I am 52 damn near and still into metal.. My grand kids think I am nuts when on Friday and Saturday me and my buddies get together at a house we set up together just for jamming out at the lake in East Texas. This kinda mirrors our style and definitely speaks volumes as to the way the world is headed lately. I got to show this to the rest of my buds. their Probably gonna get a kick out of this. I left California in the mid 90's I used to miss it. Now I don't think I will ever go back there just because of the BS that is dividing this country right in half. It is my belief that celebrities should do what they do and keep their opinions out of the limelight. But this though.... This is way frikken cool. And I will be singing it in my head for a while. Awesome Job.
How can celebrities be expected to keep their opinions to themselves when y'all (assuming you're a Trump supporter beings you live in Texas) voted a fucking reality tv star into the white house. As long as a celebrity is POTUS, other celebrities will weigh in.
I'm also from the great state of Texas, I'm a female ,granddaughter of Italian immigrant who became a citizen through hard work plus part Hispanic too, I love this. They did a great job. And I will be voting for Trump again. PC can go to hell.
If I attended a church that couldn't handle this , the truth, I would not attend that church anymore. Since when have we been so afraid , to be the men our fathers made ? All our debts are paid , I am not afraid.

Interesting history of this band for those who do not know. They formed in Riverside California in 1986. By 1987 they were well known on the LA club scene and landed a record contract, and had some moderate success and radio airplay But after a year of touring with no support from their label, they disbanded.
