I don't know if many people think about this but we are the first to be able to watch movies filmed a 100 years ago. What I love about watching these old movies is that though they are meant for entertainment, they do give us a real view into the era they were filmed.
Very unusual structure of a story at that time. The twist is just the same texture with real life, half sweet and half bitter, well balanced by the hearts from different walks of lives. Love this rare little thing!
I was a sailor both age 21 when we were married 1966 and just like this movie very lovingly happy, but again one year later my wife wanted to call it off. It was both our faults, but we talked it out many times, in good times and many bad, a few very hard ones with nothing, but we tuff it out, ours marriage lasted 47 years until her health failed in March 2013, miss her every day, glad she doesn't have to see this world now 2021
Fast moving film w a lot of" in- between" scenes,non-existent! Well acted film& I' m glad the ending was a positive one! Thanks,PizzaFlix4 showing movie!!
You can see that this movie inspired the swapping of identity and jumping-off-the-rear-of-the-train scene in *Double Indemnity* made about 10 years later.
Wasn't that Walter Brennan reacting to the chicken marketer in the first 30 seconds of the movie's savvy panning of the different people and lifestyles that were entering the train?
I liked the plot of the movie and the acting by those I didnt recognize by name. Interesting story taking place on a train which made it different for me. I rate this film a 9.
Boy, how many subplots can you stuff into one movie?!? Another perfect example of when movies were so clean and family-oriented, not like movies today. Well, ok, except for the extramarital affairs, the golddiggers, suicide, cheating the law, fights, killing, sickness, smart aleck kids..... The kid is Jackie Searl, who was pretty big before WWII playing smart aleck and/or rich kids. He kept working in bit parts after the war, but by that time he lost his youth appeal.
How refreshing. A romantic kiss, followed by a cut to the next scene. I love these old films PizzaFlix, thankyou so much for giving us this quality entertainment. God bless you.x
See how they dress like adults, no sneakers, no jeans or sweatshirts. That's the problem with today everybody dresses like a child and acts like one. WWII lasted over 3 years, plenty of men fought and then went back to work, with no whining or crying or pity parties.
80s Beginner: Is your comment below meant to be a spoiler? If so, here's a spoiler alert to those who haven't watched the movie. Don't read 80s Beginner's comment. It tells the whole story in some sort of off-kilter rhyme. Don't know if it's meant to be bad or good. Great, tight little movie, though. Well worth seeing if you don't read the spoiler. My question is: 80s Beginner, why did you feel it necessary to ruin the movie for the rest of us? Just asking. Oh, and Trolls, no need to comment. We're all onto your nastiness! :0) DBB
I am NOT Trolling. Only saying that if people want to know about a movie they can go to Imdb.com or wikipedia for a summary. Not all, but some people want to know. This is NO disrespect to your comment.
Honest sincere unpretentious loving young innocent couple starting out in life "Oh how bout half dozen kids" Great convincing acting I keep thinking about the garbage from Hollywood now Remembering a black actor in a recent movie receiving 10 million for only one line "they got a tank"!
SEPTEMBER < 11 ,1932 ,We went to the beach ,and by the old mill that was the date on the letter,as I start to watch the movie,I notice that I am totally engross with the different scenes, the band ,the lights on the rail road station, the people moving around in real life then,I considered that maybe I had lived before, and that was the reason for my viewing of all 1930's movies,What do you think
Mary Brian is lovely, as usual. The story is dramatic, but some scenes and situations or even characters make me think of a 1932 good whodunit film "By chose hands?".
Like A Take of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, the end in the movie with Ronald Coleman where he switched places with the man who was supposed to die. He goes to prison, and again switched places with a girl who was to be executed before him and chose to die in her place. " Tis a better thing I do than I've ever done before....... Heartbreaking.

Jumping off the rear of the train? T Zone.. A Stop At Willoughby 1960
It was more a case of Dickens' Tale of Two Cities. I knew it was coming when I saw there was a dying guy with nothing left to live for.
ODTAA at its engrossing best! Great performances from all.
_I'm Russel of the sheriff's office._ _Got my transportation here?_
_Yup, here we are: two for the Big House, and one return._
Great ending… wait for it…

Well, at least there was no nudity or bad language. That makes all the difference.
And mind you, this was "Pre-Code" and later considered too scandalous.
Wow ! that was a powerful movie🤓
Great story!

*Good story which includes a little romance, a murder & kindhearted behavior!*
Sure DOES look like Walter Brennen in the beginning scene.
A good 🎥in such a fine clear print 😀
Extremely well-written, directed, acted and filmed; so many good-bits!!!
Thank-You for uploading these classic gems!
Well, Hollywood had an original idea. Compared to the recycled junk they're producing today, this was a breath of fresh air.
Fantastic
I just love Mary 💘
Enjoyed it good story
Great script
Best scene was when they played silent night and she got on her knees to pray
Very unusual. Thank you!
Cops, love, betrayel, happy ending
Was that Walter Brennan in first minute of the movie? A two liner. Bit part extra.

WWII lasted six years.
That was awesome! Thanks!

By who's hand.
