Bro, I went from running wild through the streets, doing nothing but smoking, drinking, and popping ish every night, to having my family tell me how disappointed they were. I tried to do the right thing but still had the same people around me. They'd come through every night on the same BS, so I eventually cut them off completely. I went from having petty pockets-barely enough to get through the month partying and paying some bills-to, now, two years since I cut off contact, having $150k in my account and looking at houses. Those same guys are either still doing the same stuff, some are locked up, and others are no longer with us. The point is, if you want change, you have to change yourself first. The sad thing is, out of five people, only two are going to actually make something out of their lives. I only wish I'd done something sooner.
