  • This week, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Nihon Hidankyo, a Japanese group of atomic bombing survivors, “for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons.” Over the summer, in an effort to bring light to this new and terrifying nuclear era (www.nytimes.co...) , Opinion’s editor, Kathleen Kingsbury, and the writer W.J. Hennigan interviewed Japanese survivors of the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In this audio essay, they share stories from two of the survivors they met, Chieko Kiriake and Keiko Ogura, who were just 15 and 8 years old on Aug. 6, 1945.

This was a good listen. I know that very soon more people will be thinking about this topic on a global scale.

Fiction. The Quislings always reward their friends from Arafat, Tutu and Obama to these tools. Hamas and Ayatollah are scheduled share the next year's prize.

Hi from Tokyo. My family originally from Nagasaki.
Here is the story I heard from my great parents. Some of the doctors who were working at Nagasaki University Hospital got exposed to the bomb on that day. They tested themselves and showed their blood samples to Occupational Army. Famous doctor's name is Dr.Takashi Nagai, who left many books and medical records so that other Hibakusya could be treated properly. You can Google his name. Sorry my knowledge is very limited. Hope this helps your understanding.

NYT saying “nucular” and not “nuclear” is a surprise.
