If the computer is in idle mode, all you have to do is to lift the mouse and tap it down for it to start. You do not need to take it out of the port

It will be connected when ur laptop or pc is on. Put ur Laptop in sleep mode or remove the dongle. Or it gets auto disconnected after some timw
