Hey all, this is the last video showing how I recorded my EP, the boy doesn’t learn. I am ending the recording with a song called end of an era. It is a vocal and guitar song and so I used the model 12 dawdles again, showing my process in this video. Please like comment and sub if you enjoy. See you again!
Hey Enty, deffo and I am guessing by your name you will be recording sax. Absolutely, it is so much fun 🤩 thanks for taking time to check out and leave a comment 👍
@@themediapreacher8154 Not yet. I use a DAW (Studio One) but I’m about to get a model 12 to give me more flexibility. Done quite a bit of research, and now looking forward to it.
@@_davelv hey Dave, great machine, great flexibility, my only gripe is after 3 years my on off switch has gone a bit funny which is a common fault - for the ease of use and quality though, great machine
Nice tutorial on the Tascam 12..Ive been away from recording for a long while but have continued to play & getting one next month..Looks like old school meets digital..It's got knobs I recognize LOL..Thanks you sold me on it.
Nice video! Couple of friendly suggestions which I learned from another youtube channel (@recordingstudio9): firmware 1.42 has a gain boost which you can apply to mics like the SM58. Also there's a normalize function now which can help in the final mastering, and also... if you bounce your mastered track from main back to 9/10 you can re-record it with the compression at 9 o'clock and that will help fit everything together before you export the main track with the export function for distribution.
@@ianrobbins hey Ian, thanks for these really great tips , I have been meaning to upgrade my firmware and will do now ASAP. I will also check out this channel. Thanks my friend !
Thanks for the vid. My tascam model 12 is still in the box.. Wanna use it only for vocals (karaoke recording) and maybe my mpc for some rythm stuff.. Regards from Holland..
Turning up the main fader to increase studio monitor volume causes internal distortion. How do you turn up the volume on your studio monitors without turning up the main faders. Thanks
Thank you for this video tutorial! You have an amazing voice! Congratulations on the EP release! I hope you get to 1000 subs soon! Do you have any tips for recording vocals? (I'm so self-conscious of my singing voice!) Thanks again!
@@derekf1111 Hey Derek, thanks so much for checking out the channel and leaving a comment. Hoping for a 1000 soon ❤️ I would say when singing relax, try not to force your voice and sing within your comfortable range. the great thing about writing songs is you can write to suit your voice but most of all enjoy and and have fun 😎

Thinking of picking up the Tascam 12 for Live band recordings. What do you think? Nice Recording! Thanks for Sharing!
I love it! It’s great for basic band recordings
Sounds very good. You did everything in the tascam 12 alone? Sounds awesome!!!
Thanks so much kwalls, yes everything done in the tascam , great machine 👍 thanks for checking out the channel and taking time to leave a comment

@@livingmoneypolitics hey Kwalls, I think this is one of the downsides, I just don’t turn it up that high at the main to avoid distortion 👍
