    I was driving home from a kayak trip in Door County a few weeks ago and just happened to catch the Badger coming in to Manitowoc as I passed through. It's quite a sight to see!

      Very cool! One of these days I’d like to take it to Luddington.

    I've have been to Wisconsin but it was to Milwaukee for a buisness confrence . I never got to get out and enjoy nature. I live in the Missouri Ozarks near AR. We can paddle year round here with proper gear of course. Ive got different kayaks for different water ways. I would love to get back out that way and paddle some of your lakes and rivers up there. Thanks for sharing your trips with us.

      Thanks for watching! I was actually down at Lake of the Ozarks last weekend. I did not go there with the intent to paddle. I’m glad I didn’t because I would’ve been quite disappointed. It was crazy windy that weekend, and a little chilly. There’s so many great places to paddle in Wisconsin!

    Hope Spring is on the Way for You but Mother Nature is Throwing some Awesome Curveballs to Us. Lady in Red Kayak have you thought of Marina Grade Clear Wrap for your Kevlar red Kayak? Protect it more!

      I’m not familiar with that product, but I will do some research. I’ll do anything to protect that beautiful Kevlar boat!

    Are there 'rapids" in the river at Manitowoc Rapids, Wisconsin? Something I would avoid in my fiberglass kayak : )

    • @Redkayaklady
      @Redkayaklady  10 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a good question. I only got as far as finding the water a bit too shallow to move forward with Kevlar. And I am not a fan of rapids even in a poly boat!

    Thanks for another great video. You do a great job editing mixing education and paddling adventures. Paddle on safe travels.

      So glad you are enjoying my videos! I still have a few more from last year to edit and post while I finish recovering from knee surgery. I hope to get back on the water in a few weeks!

    This is first I have seen of the town for a long while, thanks for sharing. The Branch River further upstream used to be very nice, I think there are some access points on it too, has a few big rocks so bring your polyethylene boat for sure.

      I’d like to spend a little bit more time around Manitowoc and Two Rivers and bring fiberglass and a poly boat so I’m prepared for anything!

      I was there Friday afternoon/evening! Great expo. I was hoping to see vendors there with newer innovative collapsible or inflatable kayaks but there was none. I was told that Rutabaga only allows vendors of lines that they carry.

    Another great video! With it being edited down how long is a typical day on the water for you making one of these videos? Agreed too, winters here in Wisconsin are not fun!

    • @Redkayaklady
      @Redkayaklady  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching! Occasionally, I will make mention of how many miles I paddled that day, but rarely say how long I’m on the water. Typically I’m on the water at least two hours but sometimes as much as five or more. I think the day in Lake Tahoe I did 20 miles was a pretty long day.

      @@Redkayaklady cool! A few hours is all I do too. I wonder if there's a kayak app that can display your route on the water, time and other details. That would be fun to see! I have one for when I bike, I might work for that too. Have a great 2024 season paddling!

    How the Weather been for you? Weather in Ohio been Crazy tonight starting to snow again. Any plans heading south for some early Kayaking? Or you just stay put and wait for Spring? Please be Safe. Greg

      Hi Greg- although we have had some really nice days in recent weeks, we did get snow a few days ago in Wisconsin. Still recovering from knee surgery has prevented me from making any immediate plans to go somewhere warm, but I am hoping in a few weeks, it’ll be warm enough in Wisconsin and I’ll be ready to get in my boat!

      Hi Greg. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I’m happy to give you my opinion on a boat. Are you looking to purchase one?
