They made it sound so good and prophetic (Gaia, Cybele, Ishtar) but, in the end, it's mostly facts. This is some genius writing skills.

(ok ok, dusk and her embrace can never be beaten, it's a monolith). COF really are back in the game with this. truly inspired and a flawless realisation. and it's a show-er AND a grower, getting better and bigger with every listening. a masterpiece.

And what have we become in this distance from our mother?” “A world of mass congestion smothered” “To dance amok amidst annihilation” Really dark subject matter but I gotta admit the songwriting here is on another level. So imaginative and it really takes you to a different place.
No matter how much time will pass and new bands keep on coming, somehow I find myself attached to the good and old ones like the glorious Cradle of Filth!! Listening with amazement and joy, thank you COF for the new album.

Godspeed had its moments too, but this oldschool Cradle sound with plenty of Heavy Metal and Thrash influences suits them. I've seen them live in early 2018 and it was stellar, the recent live album finally has some of those classics from the 90s again. Lustmord and Wargasm sounds massive

Cradle's been my favorite band since 1999 and I don't think that I've looked forward to any of their albums as much as I'm anticipating this one. This sounds exactly like what got me into the band in the first place.

Terrific song, cradle of filth are far from being over, I know the past couple of album's have been questionable, their last real good album was godspeed of the devils thunder which I think a lot of fans forget about when they say " there back"...still a very good act live, especially their graspop fest performance this past weekend, new members but the band sounds almost good as ever.. Looking forward to the new lp and states tour coming up..
I pretty much love everything they come up with but this is really what I have been waiting for since Cruelty and the Beast. A whole new beautiful beast, indeed.
