- We have made a few changes to plans, and gotten a lot of work done in my Queen's Cove over the past week! This was all filmed over a span of a few days.

A tip from a Baker… you will have a lot more luck with baking if you use Butter and not margarine when baking. It will make a huge difference! Not only in the taste but how everything comes out also 👍
Also a tip from a pastry chef... instead of using margarine/butter to grease your pan, use parchment paper and cut a slit in each corner to fit in the pan while having extra sticking out so when your fudge is done, you can grab on the parchment paper and pull it out easily and less cleaning to do as well. Also you can use a better tasting chocolate like Callebaut brand from bulk barn or Lindt brand from walmart, superstore, no frills and other common chain grocery stores across canada

Looking awesome. He’s driving-lock paint for the first coat on the cinder blocks. That’s what it’s made for. Then 1 coat of your top coat and you’re done.

Betta Island in the Queen's cove. The set up is very impressive. The room for it's size is bright and airy. The coming sign is going to be really striking. Tamara, you are so pretty and all your wardrobe changes throughout the video were spectacular. Hugs to Luke, Roni and Mariah.

I think the betta tank rack looked way nicer. And they would have been just fine with just sponges in them, making more work plumbing them all together.
I think the 15 gal looks crowded with the sponge dividers. And you have less of a viewing space for each betta than if you kept them into 3 gal with a larger front panel, in short it displayed the fish much nicer in the racking system.. plus now you're losing all the 15 gallon tanks to do nano fish like pea puffers, dwarf guaramis different color shrimp tanks etc etc. don't let Joey dictate your fish room lol it's your fish room...

I’m excited for your new room!-for me, I’d need more space to move around and view the tanks I think. For that room I would stack tanks along the walls and leave the center open or for something else that would allow for more room for me. That said I’m jealous of your set up❤️

I am really proud of you for putting so much effort into it. It looks amazing, and seeing how far you've come is really impressive. I was wondering if you were going to get a mini fridge or freezer to go in the dehumidifier area, then once joey gets rid of the oil thing you could get one really long tank like Joey's 375 but maybe a bit shorter so you can have a desk as well for when you get fish or something.

You should consider doing a large sorority tank of bettas. There aren't alot of them on RUclips, and I'm sure it would get alot of views. Plus, where better to have a sorority tank then The Queen's Cove. 🐟🐠🐟
My suggestion for the octopus tank is to put the ropes in it and get some tubes that you can see into and have them coming out the tower hole. Then you can make a tunnel system for them, that would be pretty cool. It looks awesome so far. If I can make a suggestions for a fish, you should get some goby's they are amazing to watch. Just pick your favorite kind and I promise you wont be disappointed. Mine is by far the dragon goby but there are so many types and they are all awesome. I had a dragon goby when I was a kid and it would take the aquarium stone into it's mouth and then spit them back out, so much fun to watch.

Tamara, just another little message. I think that you are a very hard working individual. Being new to RUclips, running a home, starting up the Queen's Cove and with the wedding planning, plus looking after Joey. lol You are just fine with the video postings for vlogmas. Those fans you guys picked up at Canadian Tire are so cool. I going to look into them for my home. Thanks. I keep forgetting to tell you that I like those mats you picked, very pleasing to the eye. I think Joey's very right in the less amount of water changes for you, the easy it will be. Tamara, you are so undeniably lucky, to start out with a fish room so unique. That second coat of white paint was a excellent choice, it pops now. Can you just imagine this cove in one year? Maybe plans for the future..........paint pressure tank if possible black to match and sort of camouflage it and remove oil tank. You can cut a perfect size of egg crate and zip tie the foam dividers to make them stable and rigid

wash your hair with baby oil , the oil will get under the paint and allow you to slide the paint off.

This is your journey of course, but personally with the Bettas, the two middle tanks i'd give to the females, take out all the divides, let them all together in well planted sorority tanks, leaving the males divided (12) on the out sides. Then if breeding pick a female to go with what ever male, when the eggs are in the bubble nest pull out the female and put back in the female sorority tank, then let the males do what they do.
So what is going to happen to the 3 gallons you had on the betta rack in the gallery I loved those with the white background what is the plan tee?
What if you had Joey make a tunnel to go across those 2 big square tanks? That’d be cool

You could put some moss on the sponge and let it grow wild and they will love it xx
FYI those flowerhorn kamfa don’t stay small they get long around 12-15 inches so a 100 gallon would be ideal definitely not a 60 also betta island can be iffy if one fish gets sick all will get sick
