- There is probably a bunch of other things I forgot to list but I think this is by far the easiest way.
(Don't ask why I had concertina bomb I was usin tickspider before and gorfor)
Something to note is that the long shot AoE is far bigger than you might expect, this is both good and bad.
Its good, because you can hit more enemies than expected, but bad, because you might get caught in the blast.

Getting disintegrated hurts, usually.
Someone found that pressing f the 2nd time mid air (after a jump) can also land it. Also, he timing is between two notes in 80 bpm

Did some calculating and the BPM for it is actually 93 bpm so if you want to learn quickly pull up a metronome (you can find one for free online) and put 93 on it and start practicing

60 bpm is still the best in my opinion, as a it still hits into that timerframe, but bops slower which helps you remain calm

A funni update after watching this and discovering how to mostly longshot i just forgot about everything and arbiter in general after lol
This was really helpful for me. Few weeks ago I was maining arbiter and doing super well but this Wednesday I somehow lost my muscle memories and I'm barely able to get out 10 long shots per run. I think I did something that messed my mental timing because I'm very sad and Arbiter is my fav class because of the versatility. Also, yes there is a beep in the time window. it's just super short and a bit low to hear but it is there. the thing is that you tap on the beep to get long shot.
i actually believed there was an audio queue, now i cannot to it without looking away to listen for it. this is still really helpful though thanks
I usually miss it when i panic or get nervous. Other than that, only bad thing about longshot is you cannot get any food drops from it, and hurts like hell. Also longshot does not hurt your teammates, luckly.
This was mainly for the people that just started arbiter or something, I'm just tired of seeing ppl in pubs not even knowing it existed.
Finally, someone who actually knows some good ways to guarantee a longshot.
There IS a beeping sound, but, its not multiple beeps. Its 1 faint beep (you have to have a high volume to hear it.) that will appear 0.6 seconds after you pressed F, and yes. Its for the longshot.

Something that i found useful that isnt as precise but is probably better for the majority of new players is to simply hold f before pressing it again, its still important to time it properly, but it creates an easy muscle memory that helps greatly. I still panic time from time and mess up the timing lol
u can still hold f till "2" and it still works
Currently, I am rank 11 arbiter and I can say that long shot is quite easy and satisfying if you do it correctly and you will nut if you use it with a lot of scavs. 🥴🥴

The moat easiest one to longshot is count 3 miliseconds when u press f then press f again if the hand pushs itself back

After a long time it just comes naturally, by that you just automatically do it, although its hard, i think yall got this
There’s a brief window where your cooldown says 0% press F again to get it down. I’ve been using this to get my muscle memory down.
There is a "bleegp" in the time window but it's a little useless since by the time it goes off you've already shot your shell.
The time you did longshot to kill ghost...
Realized ghost is always close to you...
Also noticed longshot will hurt you...
Especially When you're hp was below 90...
you mean hidden? and also hidden isn't always attached to you 24/7, he just teleports to you if you run away from him and he still sees you, or something like that

From the few times I got a longshot out of sheer luck, I will tell you this:
- The ability if you time a jump with it, can shove you back, use it as you will it's very nifty
- Pointblank longshot will fling you across the map, use it as either a last resort to get to the safe zone in record time, or to get out of the safezone in record time. (This is so fucking hard to time, but it's really funny when you do it cause you just go ZOOOM)
- Having inconsistent ping will screw with your longshot timing and effects, if your ping is really screwed a pointblank longshot will just fling you but deal no damage.
Also, RIP my DW character, I just got to Tier 3 last week and now it's gone.

Sidenote: Don't blame me if my method doesn't work, atleast try different timings on it before you do. I simply stated that timing as that worked best for me.
Just remembered, *DO NOT* spam it and here's why: Pressing early completely shuts down the window so its actually better to time it on the later side. Does this make sense? Probably not.

theres acctually beeping but its audio is low so some people cant hear it, i learned long shot by it.
How good and bad your computer is will affect your timing on doing the long punches too cause... *Roblox* *Engine.* So, you all will have to compensate for it and/or try to play at lowest graphic settings for consistency.
I have a bad computer and it messed my long punches many times which costed the runs many times when my team needed it the most.
my timing is best used at a consistent 60 fps
i think the regular dw had that same arbiter timing but in the new one its just 1 to 2 regularly

i found my of doing it is to hold f for 2 secs then hit f again quickly to do the long shot

my longshot rate is about 75% at of the time, but with a new pc I'll get much more fps and most likely increase the rate

not much aside from trying to shoot before you hear the shot but even then thats still rather inaccurate
