Probably decided it wasn't needed when they were made. The acceleration in a 6-car train is not the best, but as they only have a few stops on their usual trips it works!
@@SvenskJarnvag when i first knew this train was on a video when he was on trials with amtrak with the amtrack livery i got scammed he really looks lika an electric multiple unit the locomotive and the cab car made a perfect illusion to look like a homogene high speed train set like the TGV or the ETR 400
We understand! In practice it is essentially like the TGV or ETR400. The powering unit in one end and in the other end a cabcar where you can both drive and passengers can sit. The cars in between can also only couple to other X2000-cars, unless they have some sort of adapter.
Yes! In the curves all the cars except the locomotive tilts, so that the passengers won't feel as much force to the side, when the train rushes through curves. We think that the locomotive doesn't tilt so that the pantograph will stay in good touch with the wires, but that's only our guess.
