What an honor for Costa Rica, to be part of this ambitious but urgent scientific break-through. Guanacaste is the center of innovation and clean technology for sustainable development. Thanks Franklin

By the way thank you Franklin Chang Diaz for replying to me on twitter. I was the one who asked you about the progress after buying the book about fundamentals of electric propulsion. I am almost done with your book "To Mars and Beyond, Fast!: How Plasma Propulsion Will Revolutionize Space Exploration"

I don't know that Diaz is a con-man... But I can tell you that is in-fact a UV light they have built. And yeah it's a lot of heat if you can find that kinda power in space. However ion gas thrusters then make more sense. And also where is this magnetic rocket nozzle? Why is it not a vacuum nozzle? For that fact why do you need an expansion cone? Why use a toroid shape cone at all if the gas is moving that fast. You are not introducing oxygen...so the expansion nozzle is what makes me think maybe Diaz is a con...

Sounds like the Impulse engines of Star Trek for sublight speeds but in Star Trek, the Impulse Engines use fusion as the power source. Can't wait for an EMDrive scaled up using matter/antimatter annihilation for Warp space travel...

It seems like the EMDrive was not a real thing. An illusion product of the interaction of the engine's magnetic field with that of the earth. Impulse is still our only chance.

Do your own research. But that is the ultimate realistic goal.

I want to make this better be nuclear fusion integration ready.
