These people figured they could keep knocking him down and weakening him and maybe even get him to leave the group. But little did they know that by doing what they did, they inadvertently helped make him stronger, powerful, and an even better artist. We see an older and more mature Hyunjin emerge by the end of this performance. He's always been called out for his visuals (which he hated) and one of his nicknames is Prince Hyunjin. We see Prince Hyunjin at the beginning. His clothes are delicate, he gently ties his hair back, his visuals on display for a second on the mirror. But then this NEW Hyunjin starts to emerge and we see him fighting it at the beginning but slowly he allows it to take over and by the end, his hair is a mess, his clothes are barely hanging on, and he walks away from the same place where he started. Except there is no mirror for him to look into, which means he won't be "fixing" himself to go back to how he previously looked. He's a completely new artist now. I can only imagine what this hiatus was like for him. He's not the same artist he was before the hiatus. I'm genuinely so stoked to see what he does next!! Hyunjin, we missed you SO MUCH!
What's worse is that it turned out that the girl who accused Hyunjin of bullying her in high school or middle school had made it all up about him. When people investigated, it was discovered that the time period she said Hyunjin had bullied her in school was not true. Why? Because at that particular time, Hyunjin had been going to an all boys school, so he couldn't have bullied her in school at the time because no girls were allowed in the school. And then the second charge of bullying was proven false because the 'victim' was Hyunjin's friend at the time and both of them had fought with eachother at the same time. So this whole 'scandal' was essentially made up by anti-fans/toxics/haters and some girl who wanted to bring Hyunjin down for some reason. Seriously, when someone wants to destroy someone's career, at least get your lies straight. The girl had to pick a time when Hyunjin couldn't possibly have bullied her...
