Hello Guys, In this video, I have shared my experience of exploring the tribal areas of Chittagong division of Bangladesh. I met Chakma people, Marma & Tripuri also. Tripuri people follows Hinduism & Chakma and Marma follows Buddhism. In Bangladesh there are many tribal people living in Sylhet, Dinajpur, Cox's Bazar, Mymensingh, Rajshahi etc. But the majority of tribal people live in Chittagong Hill tracts. It is the home of eleven tribes, the most beautiful indigenous people of Bangladesh. In this hilly area of immense beauty, eleven ethnic groups such as Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Tanchangya, Lushai, Pankho, Bawm, Mro, Khyang, Khumi and Chak live in harmony with nature. Among all of them the Chakma are the largest ethnic group in Bangladesh. The majority of them are Buddhists and the rest of them are Hindus, Christians etc

Karnaphuli river is the mainstream river of kaptai lake.. There are three tributary rivers have contributed in the kaptai lake also.. Which are chengi river from Khagrachari, maini river from dighinala and kachalang river from baghaichari..

The best hospitality so far Dipanshu has received is from Bangladesh.
Kaptai is actually an artificial ( man-made ) lake, Which was created as a result of the Karnafuli Hydropower Station. In this process Submerged 54,000 acres of agricultural land. Over 100,000 local people from about 18,000 families, mostly from indigenous communities, were displaced during that period. The Chakma king palace is still underwater. You will find underwater videos of that king palace which still remains underwater.

This is the Lake the reason why lakhs of chakmas migrated from undivided India NEFA (Arunachal pradesh).lake of tears for the chakmas.huge land submerged, somebody losted their parrants, sons,daughters , friends etc due to constructed this dam over Karnapuli river..i see.. Depangshu's travels from Sylhet until Hill Tracts is all a big *BLUR* except for 1 or 2 brief punctuations in Brahmaputra entry point and Panchagarh.. All I can remember from those episodes is an incessant procession of remote dusty non-descript rustic bus stops, train stations, bazars, autowallahs and rickshawpullers. He covered hundreds and hundreds of miles from Sylhet to Hill Tracts, but I can't recall much more than those remote rustic bus-stops - everything else in between in those hundreds and hundreds of miles simply vanished - the villages, people and their lifestyle, nature - everything - which I know are there. I wonder why it's like this. My hunch is, he didn't come here to see Bangladesh. He came here to see India from the other side of the border!!! Ha ha ha That's why he almost directly went to border region from Dhaka. Then moved from border points to border points. Then directly to Hill Tracts - which has a Mizoram connection for him because he entered Bangladesh illegally previously for a short while from Mizoram in his Mizoram episode!! He probably wanted to see the other side of this border region more in-depth. My guess is, he is not looking for Bangladesh here, he is actually looking for a view of "India" from the other side. That's absolutely fine though. But, if this is the case really, then just don't expect anything else from him. This is my hunch, I might me wrong though. Maybe he is simply a terribly "unpor", ill-read, ill-prepared traveler without sufficient prior research about the destination and consequently moving around haphazardly -- as has been suggested by some of his compatriots in the comment box previously. I don't know whether they are correct or not. 😁

I liked his videos.But I also thought about this that he actually didnt come to Bangladesh to explore it.He came more to see the india from other side.I guess its fine.But when he was travelling he didnt even visited any tourist spot which kinda annoyed me and those tourist spots in rangamati looks alot awesome but he didnt went to any of them!
he is a nomad in true sense. if you see his other country videos then u will understand he is not so fond of so called touristic place rather love to explore the challenging and not so popular place. yatri doctor youtube channel guy loves to explore main city and touristic places. these are all different types of choices only for different persons.
and who does not hike to see a glimpse of his motherland specially when out of country so many monthes?
and one more thing there is a joy of travelling a bit unplanned. because thats the true nomadic style.

"_ I have travelled thousands of miles into utterly *"non-touristic god-forsaken depths"* of largest deserts of the world myself where nobody goes - among many other places - in a totally nomadic style - before the era of RUclips. So I don't need lectures on this from you kiddo! And yes, I've seen his earlier videos.
In fact, my point about this Bangladeshi series of his is completely the opposite of what you say --
1.. This is NOT done in a *_nomadic_* style!!! My argument is -- it's actually done in a *_very very planned and deliberate_* manner. That's why it is done in this way. nothing to do with nomadism. I understand you don't have the eye to see this. It's okay. But I can see the _underlying design and intentionality_ in this from my basic experience and intelligence. I also know how videos / documentaries are made and what it tells about the maker from the edits and related choices he makes. So, these videos of his are in fact exactly the *OPPOSITE* of _nomadism._ It _screams_ of his prepossessions instead. It may even be what another commenter - #Neel71 - pointed out below in this comment section. Please see his comments. Whatever it is, the intentional actions, inactions and choices made in these videos based on prior subscription to prepossessions and preconceptions - consciously or unconsciously - is pretty much evident in his videos. If you can't see that - it's your problem. I understand fan psychology. I can elaborate more on what I have said so far, if you want, but I prefer not to. He is our guest and I don't want to dig into his private intentions publicly any further. It has already left a bad taste in my mouth. As I see it, he is still most welcome in my country and free to roam around as a guest whatever his private intentions and prepossessions are or not. By the way, I am not claiming what I am saying is the absolute truth. I might still be wrong. Cheers a peace!!! 🧡
