    he should show us more details on mounting the racquet... most of the stringers have no problem on pullig the strings, however the mounting step yes. the camera man should shoot from Lawrence's angle in order to show us how to not too over-tighten the racquet when mounting

    Hi, great video, I was always told the main strings are power and cross strings for control, yet you say the opposite? The original 2 piece or hybrid stringing patterns from tennis would normally have synthetic on the mains and GUT on the crosses for the reasons I said, can you clarify this please? Cheers

    i thought for aerobite the main string tension is higher than cross string, but you said in the video that main was 24lbs and cross 26lbs. any comments guys?

    • @marconoll1065
      @marconoll1065 4 года назад +1

      Not sure about the Aerobite, though generally the Yonex guys tell to use about 10% more tension on the cross than on the main.

    • @invincibleajay
      @invincibleajay 3 года назад +8

      Farras when you string the main, it is straight, so the tension is less than crosses. When you weave the cross string in and out, the tension in mains goes up as the string is no longer straight, it's being pulled by the crosses, hence the result is the cross and main should be similar at end. Hope you understand.

    In some videos the cross string is stringed either from the bottom or the top. Why is it not done from the middle, like it is done with the main string?

    • @marklawrence180
      @marklawrence180 3 года назад +4

      It is possible to start the crosses from the middle but it takes longer and in order to retain the correct head shape it is best to start from the bottom (throat) and not the top. In tennis the crosses are normally strung top down but badminton, again because of the head shape is bottom up.

      If you buy 200m of string it'll be around 5-6 dollars for each racket, but if you use a 1 string set like him it'll be around 8 dollars. So you save money by buying the big role of string in the long run.

    The side supports are way too close to the 3 and 9 oclock positions. Racket shouldn't be moving on the mounts either, you wanna give support enough to the frame without it shifting and causing warping or cracks. The first clamp isn't needed, it slows down the process, double pull then retension both strings.
