Khor Fakkan is one of the most popular tourist spots in the UAE. In the past few years, the government has launched many initiatives to boost tourism and facilitate visitors. The scenic destination opened recently and word of mouth so far is highly positive.
A 5.63 km long two-sided road has been constructed so you can easily drive up to Suhub Rest House. Not to mention, there’s enough parking space for personal vehicles. If you’re up for the challenge, how about hiking to the top? Just make sure you pace yourself right when going up the mountain.
The rest house has two floors covering an area of 2,788 sq m. There is a café and a restaurant on the ground floor that can accommodate more than 130 guests. There is also a multi-purpose hall and separate prayer rooms for men and women.
The Al Suhub Rest Area features water fountains and massive green spaces with more than 8,000 trees. Visitors can relax under the thick shadows and have a nice time with their families. Little ones can spend time at the dedicated play area. A 3-km path will take you from the Al Suhub Rest Area to the Al Rafisah Dam - a fun destination for the whole family.
Al Suhub Rest House in Sharjah is about a 2-hour drive from Downtown Dubai. From Central Sharjah, it will take around an hour and a half. At the same time, it’s just a 30-minute drive from Khor Fakkan City.
