quick tip - keep one composer for similar functionalities. Thats why it fails to follow your styling and file placements and whenever you start a new composer just give it context of what was done before.
As I'm now getting close to the end of the video, don't just git a lot. Before clicking accept on anything the composer does, click on save all. When You click save instead of accept, you can always revert any change inside Cursor. But yeah, also git like a madman.
As a developer this honestly scares me and kinda feels like it takes away from building it all by myself, i understand time is money, and it makes it faster. Makes me feel like i will lose a job.
Simon wants a new video for expo router With Drawer,Tabs and Stack navigation Stack under drawer, drawer under stack and others Because currently the expo router is so much changed!
Hi Simon, nice video :) What about once you reach the 500 monthly fast responses on Cursor? Does the quickness of responses lower too much or it's acceptable? Also I've seen that o1 mini doesn't count for the fast responses, it's like totally unlimited I think
This is crazy. I am a huuuuge fan of IntelliJ and JetBrains but if they don't follow up with something similar (they will probably do, I mean they already have their own AI and GH Copilot for JetBrains will probably come back too) I will even consider switching to Cursor.
Thank you for the video I have already tried with next and v0 for UX/Ui and I have been very pro I will be a taker and I do not think I am the only one of a .cursorrules file optimized for react native as well as a complete tutorial video of a complete application with cursor that explains above all how to differentiate when to use compose and chat small tips: use v0 to generate ui/ux and ask chatgp 4o to transform it into native react code
Fuck yeah, great Cursor video applied to the RN/Expo world which was definitely missing atm. I have a new simple RN app I need to build, and I'll definitely use Cursor to do it now that I watched this video. 🤯 Thanks bud, great content keep it uuuuup 🙌🏼
i am just learning react native. what do you use for application that updates that iphone live with changes? ive built apps with xcode and swift and use that simulator, but i want to start building apps that are ios and android, so i need to be able to test on both kind of decvices and im having a hard time finding guidance googling
Hy everyone i am new to react native . I am facing trouble in settings up my react native environment Ussing react native cli. Any one please help me. 😢

Great video Simon!
Yes! Thank you!

Adding docs at 2:30am. I like your style 😉

Great video again from Simon. Awesome ....
Glad you enjoyed it
simon please do more videos about cursor - Thanks
Will try - anything specific?
@@galaxies_dev whatever you choose the main thing is learn how we can use cursor to build react native app -- thanks Simon

You won't lose your job if you learn and master these new AI tools.
No you won't. You would become a superior developer if you know how to "manage" and "instruct" theese AIs efficiently.
You've got nothing to worry about, the code generated here is an absolute nightmare to maintain and debug
No, just add these AI's in your portfolio also master it, you will be good
Time is money but that’s not how development works. An app’s and developers value is not in the amount of time spent on it.
wow this is massive
Pls do more on this
Sure - anything specific you want to see?
As a fresher or learner .. Should we go with these?
Hey Simon, great video !!!! I'll start using the Cursor in my next project. By the way, which software are you using to annotate on the screen?
That is ScreenBrush on Mac!
Great stuff Simon. Just a note, we still need keys for AI models, correct?
Yes or subscribe to Cursor pro!

I haven't hit the limit yet so we'll see :D

Awesome
Did you use the free pricing plan? What plan do you recommend using to work on medium-to-large fullstack projects?
I'm actually on a paid plan at this point
Do you have a course from scratch
Fuck yeah, great Cursor video applied to the RN/Expo world which was definitely missing atm.

Your app wil be done in like 5 min if you use cursor and it's really a simple case :D

Have you compared cursor to github copilot in vscode?
Well personally, and I like Cursor a lot more by now.
How can I see/show the phone screen immolator that is behind you?
It’s from Xcode on MacOS
Can you perhaps explain how to connect Cursor to Xcode? Maybe you can make a video about it

@Simon Grimm can you help me with the name of your VS Code theme, please?
It should be "Shadow Of Purple"
Exactly!
