I visited good old Neil for my big block mountain mod sled as I live in edson alberta. Man coolest guy ever if you ever have the chance go talk to him he's an old school legend he knows alot rock on @syxxes performance rock friggen on!
Yeah that cat is loud with that NPP can on it. I have very similar results on my Pro with a GGB Mountain can. I'm looking at changing it to something quieter though as my riding Buddies seem to have very sensitive ears and think it's very obnoxious. LOL
Akisland Driver I’ve never seen a residence near any of the riding spots I’ve been to in revy or golden so I’m not sure who would be complaining... everyone in these areas have accessed by snowmobile so can’t see who would be complaining. Plenty of loud helis overhead taking skiers and boarders up the mountains all day as well.
@@CalgaryDynastar we fight them all the time in our area, snowshoers and cross country skiers. And I can sympathize. Your out for a hike, enjoying nature and your hobby, and all the sudden all you can hear is a pack up soeds shrieking up the mountain across the valley from you. As Sledders, we never know they are there. But they always know when we are around.
mutt2jeff I suppose it just depends on areas and access but when you’re 50km down a logging road into the bush and another 20km trail in, there isn’t anyone listening but the wildlife. I get the noise side of things but at the same time how much available area is there where sledding isn’t allowed compared to where it is. Same goes for 4x4 stuff, where I ride my mtb in the summer there is a OHV area across the valley and you hear machines, I couldn’t give a shit. Plenty of spots to go out there if people want peace and quiet away from OHV zones.
It’s definitely an argument they are making. All I can say is next thing they will be after is paddle lengths, they’ll want to make it so you can only have 1.75 or something like that. Next will be track length, next it’s the 2-stroke. It’s happening with boats quads guns you name it. Meanwhile they are okay with some guy running Vance and Hines drag pipes with no baffles on a Harley in a residential area.
and ontario is cracking down on cans this year, deliberately... i'm a rider and i'm fully supporting the crackdown. why? because the cans are being used in residential areas and closing trails. nearest trail to me is a mile away, but because i live on georgian bay i get idiots with cans riding riding by my house at 3am 80mph. this is what's killing the trails. what you put on a mountain sled out in the boonies doesn't matter so much, but when even sledders grow to hate the noise...
New viewer here and enjoying the channel guys. I have a question regarding exhaust donuts. Have you guys replaced any or know how to fix one up? Screwed both mine up on an F800 and shes leaking exhaust under the hood. Can these be fixed with a type of gasket sealant? Looking forward to your response.
I'm actually a big fan of Jaws products. I wouldn't go with anything like this for a 6000. Jaws makes cans that are fairly aggressive without being over-the-top loud.
The expansion chamber provides most of the back pressure required. An aftermarket can will just help the engine breathe better and deliver a small amount more power in most cases. There are a few can's on the market the I condemn due to the problems I have seen them cause with too much back pressure.
I just put a BMP on my m8000. Sounds great and they dyno everything to guarantee no power loss.
There is lots on the market to choose from!
Holy crap that sounds awesome and damm it’s loud
He likes to be the loudest guy on the hill.

Dang that looks like fun! Wish we got snow like that around here!
Even we gotta drive for this stuff. lol.

This one is a little obnoxious. I think so anyways.
You need better riding buddies...
I’m not trying to be a downer but wasn’t that one of the things that they were wanting to shut riding spots down for
Akisland Driver It is, and the number one reason all the other people in the mountains hate us.

I love my npp but I ordered the jaws rowdy to try out, if Ontario ever gets the mail flowing again.......
That's probably the direction I would go as far as cans.

You can either just replace it or, you can use high temp silicone if you are having a problem with the sealing surface.
Let er ripp boys. Jaws is #1
I too am a fan of Jaws products.
What kind of jaws can will fit on this machine?
What year is the sled
Wash out at 2:55 if you was on the Alpha omg it’s because of the single rail bla bla bla lol 😂

Nice

This is a stupid question to ask but is there any back pressure ?
