THIS WAS A LIFESAVER. i got my phone back from the service center cuz display issues and when i started it up, the fingerprint sensor wouldnt allow me to set up giving me an error "fingerprint sensor not working try restarting". saw your video and opened it up to find the cable was disconnected. epic

Thank you very much! I got caught in a very heavy down pour my phone got wet and then it was having some problems. One of them was not be able to charge because of a 'Your battery temperature is too low'. I followed your instructions to take the phone apart and saw some white corrosion on the charing port. Cleaned it and now it is charging again.

Hey, I recently bought this phone and feels like it swelling but still in early days so can't see it clearly. Since it's in replacement days can you help me to know whether my doubt is real or not.
Not sure, wouldn't be able to tell unless I actually had the device in hand, but if its in warranty, then if you think its swelling ask for a replacement from Samsung. Better safe than sorry. Also keep in mind, one symptom from bad batteries or swelling batteries is overheating. So if you feel your phone is overheating then that might be what is happening and you should request for a replacement.

It seems more closer to plastic than magnesium but I'm not 100% sure. The reason I am leaning to plastic is gets surface scratches easily, at least on the black color. Just putting it on a table or desk and moving it around a bit is enough to show those surface scratches on the back. Thank you :)
@ribbon buyo you have to take apart the phone and disconnect the battery and pry it off since its held down with adhesive. But it is replaceable.
Well, now that's a simple phone, looks like i'm going to spend some time with mine, the thermal throttling is killing all the fun of this phone

I don't have a 4k mAh battery on hand at the moment but I will try and get the weights later on. But it wouldn't matter much due to the fact it can vary on type of batteries, material used in batteries and outer casings of batteries. So there will be variations in weight for one type of 4k mAh battery compared to another.

Hi, I'm not sure where the GPS module is. Make sure the motherboard is seated properly as well as all the cables and covers so the antenna contacts make proper connections with the frame etc.

You should be able to use the galaxy m30 screen for the m31 since it looks to be the same screen. (same size, same resolution and same connector location)

One question, do you think this battery will fit the Samsung a71.
It might be possible, I don't have them here both side by side to try and to take measurements but the connectors look the same and same location on the boards so as long as the connector fits, and the battery fits into the battery bay it should work.

Hi... I dropped my phone water, but quickly recovered it in a fraction. It was playing RUclips and continued to play video after I pulled it out. My initial thought was water wouldn't have gone inside as it is still working. But after a day the ear speaker stopped working. But I was able to take calls via headset and or loud speaker. After half a day now the main speaker has stopped working. Still able to take calls via headset. I need your advice on what to do next... on my own, before taking it to service center. Coz water damage not covered in insurance. I thought might as well try myself and resolve it. If not possible then take it to service center coz I got to pay for it anyways.
Hi, keep in mind any time a phone gets in contact with water or any electrical device, you need to immediately power it off and remove the battery if it has a removable battery. Until you open the device and clean all the water or moisture from inside, you should not attempt to use it because parts inside will short and become defective. If you're motherboard shorts then you would have a none working phone. If you think you have the skills to do it, you can take apart the phone and clean out any water and use a tooth brush or something similar to brush off any corrosion on chips or connectors. Then you can test and see if that fixed your issues. If not then those parts probably went bad and you would need to replace the defective parts. It's also possible the connectors have shorted and gone bad, which would render a new part useless as well since the connector would be damaged and not working. If you are not too familiar with taking apart phones, I would suggest to take it to a repair center or something similar to see if its repairable and have them do it for you. Hope this helps.

You should replace the whole back cover, it will just cost around from 300-600 rupees

water damage is not easy to fix, plus the cost of getting parts replaced that got damaged and cleaning the main board if its not working due to water damage would cost more on this phone than just trying to find a replacement board online somewhere. Some specialty repair shops can try to attempt to repair water damage if its not too bad.
Hello! I'm having problems with my M31, flashlight only works when the phone is plugged, usb to pc is not detected, charging is slow and the phone takes a long time to detect that is has been plugged or unplugged ..

There is no specific price, depends on what someone would sell it for after parting it out online since its not something that is generally sold as a replacement part.

Samsung service told me that the board and the display is one piece and they have to change both and can’t just only change board. Is that true?
no that's not true as far as them being one piece, but it's possible they receive their replacements as a combo unit meaning they come pre assembled so it saves time so all they have to do is move over a few parts during repairs and send out the unit.
@@PBKreviews oh ok ! Possible cos they told me they can't change the board alone. They will change the display along with it. And it would cost a total of $164. And I got the phone for itself new for $219. 😶

M facing problem in camera as its lens has been covered with dust from inside....how do i fix it? Plese tell the solution..
Follow how to take the back housing off the phone as shown in the video and you can use a brush to brush off the dust on the camera lens cover from the inside and on the camera lens, then put the back cover back on and you should be good to go.
When I closed my phone, it said fingerprint sensor not working and I'm worried now coz my phone isn't much old yet. Please need urgent help
What do you mean by when you closed your phone? As in when you put your phone back together or when you turned your phone screen off? If you mean put back together, its possible you did not connect the fingerprint sensor cable correctly or something is loose. You can also try powering on and off the phone to see if it fixes the issue. If neither help, you might have damaged or cut the cable for the fingerprint reader.

If I am not mistaken, it should be the same display. Its the same size/resolution and connector is in the same spot so you should be able to use the m30 display

I had samsung m31;while using youtube its screen froze and got stuck on its logo and it didnt restart,after trying and leaving it be,it automatically restarted and again got stuck!so I took it to the service centre,they told motherboard issue,and the cost was 60%of the total phone cost,what should I do?I brought the mob back
Try backing up your data and then do a factory reset then see if it still does it. If the mobo has a problem then you're better off getting a new phone probably.

How To Repair Fingerprint Sensor in Samsung Galaxy m21
The disassembly should be similar to the M31, the back cover comes off the same way and the fingerprint scanner is held onto the back cover with adhesive, after you have the back cover loose from the frame, before you pull it off completely, heat up around the finger print scanner with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and push the fingerprint reader in with your finger to pry and separate it from the back housing, then you can remove the back and disconnect the finger print reader and replace it.

no since all your info is stored onto the onboard storage of the motherboard. If you have everything backed up to a google account or cloud and restore everything back from your backup onto the new motherboard, then everything will be as it was on your previous motherboard.
