I find the timing of the McCarthy ouster to be potentially duplicitous. They barely passed a stop-gap budget, and then suddenly boot the speaker? Nobody cares about weak McCarthy, but a speaker is absolutely necessary for the house to function. Consider, what will happen 45 days from now and they still haven't elected a new speaker in order to present and pass a budget? This is a hell of a strong-arm tactic. Don't be surprised if they wait till the last minute to elect a new speaker and then try to ram a raw deal down everyone's throat in a mad rush. I don't think this was as coincidental as the media seems to believe. This is part of the coup plan.

Kevin McCarthy's tenure as Speaker was concluded following a decisive vote in the House. Unfortunately, this event marked the first occurrence in the history of the United States where a Speaker of the House was removed from their position. The current situation is in a state of disarray.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that this is such an historic event, kids in school a century from now will be learning about how big of a failure Kevin McCarthy was.
Hopefully they'll read about the domestic terrorist that have taken over the republican party.
A century from now history will be written by the winners of all this ridiculousness and it won't be Americans with how things are going with the Republicans or the Democrats. As the Constitution does not explicitly state that the speaker must be an incumbent member of the House, it is arguably possible for a non-member to be elected.
