First time I heard this I promptly sat up straight and said there's no way two marvelous voices could come out of one family. All the below positive comments say to me BACK AT-CHA.
I'm 69 years old, knew I wanted to be nurse, then having music in the home - starting from the jazz greats all thorough this period of time - the best song lyrics and singers. I know singing will always be what I need to do...haven't in ages though trying to sing every day, take pt lessons on here from Mark Baxter and just discovered the English vocalist Kim Chandler, I'm happy to get out and do some busking. Can't get enough of Dee Dee, Dusty, for Jazz, Dakota Staton...the list is endless ~
This song was later done as an instrumental by the Jerry Ross Symposium for the self-titled album in 1970. Jerry Ross was a producer and songwriter who wrote many of his hits including "I'm Gonna Make You Live Me" for the Supremes and Temptations and others. He started his own label Colossus and released "Venus" by the Shocking Blue and it was a smash hit. After three years Colossus was folded in 1971. The Jerry Ross Symposium was a group that had a more Ray Conniff-like sound to it.
Produced by Jerry Ross per the label. Sounds very similar to his work on many of the later recordings by the Sapphires done just prior to this. Wonderfully sung by Dee Dee, one of my favorites.
What can you do What can you say When you find love Slipping away If I drowned in my own tears Would it help ease the pain If I got down on my knees Would it bring him back again Or is it over? I'm up all of yesterday Oh I'm so afraid That love has slipped away What can you do What can you say When you find love Slipping away If it's me it's too bad Then it's me I'm gonna be I'll try anything I can Just to bring him back to me Or is it over? I'm up all of yesterday Oh I'm so afraid That love has slipped away Or is it over? I'm up all of yesterday I'm so afraid That love has slipped away

MORE SOULFUL INDEED
What can you do
What can you say
When you find love
Slipping away
If I drowned in my own tears
Would it help ease the pain
If I got down on my knees
Would it bring him back again
Or is it over?
I'm up all of yesterday
Oh I'm so afraid
That love has slipped away
What can you do
What can you say
When you find love
Slipping away
If it's me it's too bad
Then it's me I'm gonna be
I'll try anything I can
Just to bring him back to me
Or is it over?
I'm up all of yesterday
Oh I'm so afraid
That love has slipped away
Or is it over?
I'm up all of yesterday
I'm so afraid
That love has slipped away
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
